Is it just me or, my particular 1125, but it seems that some days my 1125 is sooo very smooth, and on other days it has noticeable vibrations??? Some days no matter what RPM or load it is just plain smooth (like this morning).

On other days, it just seems to have a vibration at most RPM's and loads. I'm wondering if I had the butterflies secured would it be more consistent??

My bike seems to like warmer/ hotter weather and being ridden harder. Just curious.

I wouldn't describe mine as rough or smooth, but it is always consistent.

Mine does have a noticeable difference in smoothness (vibration levels) on different rides. It is much smoother than an XB or Tuber all the time but, it does vary.

This weekend I'm installing the K&N so I'll take the time to pull the airbox base and tie the butterflies together. That could create some inconsistantcies in throttle response and allowing one of the butterflies to flutter during steady state conditions.

Thx

Neil

I bought gas during a ride in a different state over the weekend, and the bike HATES it. Feels like a different motor, kinda buzzy in the bars and needs more throttle in take-offs. Low rpm riding is lousy. Thank God the fuel mileage is so poor....can't wait to burn thru this tank and get "my" bike back...

My XB was really sensitive to bad gas, and I have noticed it to a lesser degree with the CR. It can make a difference...

I thought it might be a gas issue also. My daily commute is 140-150 miles so I go through a tank of gas each day. I'm consistent with where I buy gas. Even tried Exon for a week or two (no ethanol) and still had god/ bad vibration days.

We will see what happens after I keep my butterflies fluttering together ;+}

My bike was more vibey when it was colder. Seemed that the mounting points transmitted more vibrations when the bushings were cold.

I also felt that, and of course can't back it with any evidence, the frame seemed to transmit more vibrations when it was cold. I don't know if the aluminum was less flexible or the cold gasoline transmitted vibrations more or what.

That's why this thread is titled "Good Vibrations" ;+}

Or as the H-D guys would say, "My bike doesn't vibrate, it throbs!"
