I want to practice my mad skills. Does anybody know the dimensions of The Box? Come to think of it, anybody remember what's involved in it again? It was a figure 8 in the box right? | ||

IMHO: that is the most worthless exercise in test. I also know of an Ultra that was totaled trying the box. Yes your read right TOTALED. He is now a MSF coach and I really enjoying teaching with him. I make him demo the box and give him hell every time. "Can I trust you with this nighthawk?" | ||

When I did it, I hated it,but it does teach good clutch control and head turning. I liken it to parallel parking in the driving test. In the real world, I'm just finding another spot for my pick-up truck. | ||

i jut searched this, got dimensions all over the place!! everywhere from 18' x 30' to 24' x 70' ???? also seen reference to 18' square and 20' square ??? msf layout; http://www.msf-usa.org/index_new.cfm?pagename=Ride rCoach%20Info&content=47B1FBEE-A0CC-53D5-645AD99FD BD901DA&referer=MSTS seems to be 20' x 60' big difference! found some good skill exercises; http://www.idahostar.org/guide/Default.htm i use tennis balls cut in half as cones, more forgiving and easy to carry! | ||

20x60 seems like the one I did, but I could have sworn that it got cut down to that from 30x60. Thanks for the links guys. | ||

Buellinachinashop: 20' X 60' for smaller bikes. 24' X 70' for larger bikes. U-turn left followed by a U-turn right. Don't put a foot down or cross any of the four lines. Dave | ||

Dhalen has it right. My director can do it in the smaller box on his Goldwing. It's a pretty impressive sight to see. Then again, he's been teaching for 17 years, and is one of the few people who are examiner trainer trainers. He was one of the people who just worked with MSF to develop the three wheel course. I didn't have much of a problem on the Blast, but I shudder to think of using my Ss, with it's stumbling low end and twitchy throttle response.  ~SM | ||

I tried it on the ScG and it was ALOT easier on the Blast. I barely made it on the ScG | ||
