I've decided that I want to do a lot more off-road than the XT is capable of and am putting it up for sale. Racing Red - 2K miles/warranty thru 11/10. Located in Billings, MT - possible delivery. Price reduced: $10,900. Mods & extras: 2 sets of bags, both new - Ortlieb Dry and Pelican 1430 top loaders. Bike has stock mounting frame, but sold off the Journey bags cuz I really didn't like them. RKA tank bag fitted to air box. Precision 1" riser addition Sylvania Silver Star Ultra 4100k bright white bulbs high and low beam Keitai tank pad Cargo Converti Tri-bag on the tail Touratech hand guard spoilers. Laminar Lip Mature adult ridden. Love the bike, but the mountains are calling. Miles are about to go up a bunch if the weather holds next weekend. There will be about 3,500 on it by Sunday. Gas mileage is up over 50 mpg on the road now as the motor gets broken in. |

H&B bags are gone. Here's how I set up for touring: Ortlieb Dry Saddlebags - waterproof Rafting style dufflebag - waterproof Ozark trail cooler - 31L capacity attached to triple tail. (Message edited by itileman on May 18, 2009) |

An in town pic with the Ortlieb's, RKA tank bag and Cargo-Converti tail bag which will also ride on the triple tail in the vertical position on either side or on the end extended out and down.

No longer for sale. Will be changing out the Stradas for Syncs and have added some new farkles that I'll post up later - flat tire repair kit w/ foot pump and gas siphon carriers. Ran a quick 1k miles last weekend on Montana back roads and mountain passes. Can't part with it. An incredible machine. |

My wife of 43 years as of Thursday (applause for her, not me), the woman who hates motorcycles, even said don't sell it. Like the lip a lot. Still have air flow atop the head and smack a bunch of bugs with the face shield on my helmet, but very little air on the chest and no buffeting my noggin. There's a spoiler atop the guards - made by Touratech. Got them from a member here. Like those too. Got a free rear Sync mounted and balanced today, courtesy of the warranty program. The Strada developed a ridge down the center and the sides started cupping. Dealer service tech said he'd never seen anything like it. Since the Sync is a stock XB tire, I got that instead and ordered a front on my dime as that Strada was in good shape. |
