ever since ive owned my x1 ive looked into different tail sections.......the cheapest option i have seen is the gixxer tail. ive seen it done and know it almost bolts square up with a 1999-2000 something bubble type gixxer tail |

All the black bikes and the orange bike have the same tail section made by RRC Customizing. http://www.r-r-customizing.de/shop_b_eng/index.html One of my German friends, Frank, has one on his WICKED X1, shown here at the 2008 BORG MSM:
A buddy of his, ironically also named Frank, had the tail shown on the last bike above on his X1:
Word from Frank #1 was that the CF tail was also made by RRC but was made in very limited numbers and was very EXPENSIVE. 1313 |

1313 -They do do look great but at $1000 + plus they are all expensive. Can't imagine what the CF version must have cost. |

It's amazing to me that all these great parts for an "American" made motorcycle are only available from european companies. What's up with that? |

because the street fighter style is alot bigger in over there than it is here. IT would be nice if we had daring companies in the states thought that made neat stuff like that here. |

i've just had done a tail section copied from an RRC, from an artisan in Italy, paid half the money of the original one! is on its way to me, can't wait to put it on my new X1 project... |

plenty of pics already here, is the one on the orange X1, or on the silver one... is the most similar to the stock one, but shorter. it retails for over 900 euros, I paid 500 for the complete tail section, with seat and hardware, completely the same of the original RRC one... |
