Somehow my $500 1984 Toyota SR5 "race hauler" doesn't seem quite the same anymore! |

Nice to see Buell finally get a full sized display trailer. A few things to note: 1) The new colors and logo are designed to look old and established... HOG(NYSE) management probably likes that image but it doesn't play with Buell's target market. 2) Note the "Engineered in East Troy, Wi." in the logo- that's a hint that Buells may soon be built outside of the U.S.A. |

Sheesh, grrrl, how the hell does BLACK not play with Buell/s market? Have ya noticed the number of blacked out bikes around here? EDIT: I just noticed the logo change. I dig it. Kinda reminds me of Mobil 1 pegasus. I recant 50% of the previous response. And, uh, half the Buell parts are already foreign. In case you didn't know. Very nice rig BTW. Think they'd let me take it camping? ~SM (Message edited by Swordsman on May 18, 2009) |

Wonder how long until we can get some decals sporting that new Pegasus? Since I'm redecorating my Ss, it'd be cool to have some... ~SM |

patio party upstairs! buellgrlll-you have a special talent at finding ways to bring your distaste for buell into a thread-are you stuck in middle management? if you spent that much time figuring out what was wrong with you're bike you probably have a lot more fun, but I guess I'm not stating anything that hasn't been stated before. |

"2) Note the "Engineered in East Troy, Wi." in the logo- that's a hint that Buells may soon be built outside of the U.S.A." I think its more fitting that "American Motorcycles". While Rotax isn't a US company, I think we're going to see more Buell bikes with Austrian motors and less HD power plants. I believe the bikes will still be assembled here. Buell is in the beginning stages of consolidating its manufacturing, why would they move into a new factory if the bikes aren't built here? Makes no sense. The new big rig sure looks nice, but due to cut-backs the "Motor Company" has out sourced all transportation to a non Buell moving and storage company. Over the years Gary and Lois have always been great ambassadors for Buell. If you have not had the pleasure to meet them, you have really missed a great couple. Many of us will miss them. Terry |

We just got our Stratman (tee shirt) catalog last week, first time co-workers had seen (or believed me about) the new logo. Shouldn't be long now, unless they have a production delay of some sort. |

Joe, if you see anything that has the new logo as a decal (in red or any other color) let me know. I found a Mobile Pegasus (in red) that will go on one saddle bag and the new one on the other side of the S2T. I have to repaint one saddle bag anyway! |

Spiderman, I had to go back and read the thread. I am shocked! No more Gary and Lois? That is too bad. In one year I had the pleasure of talking to them at a local dealer (that did not do right by them IMO), Sturgis and MBV. They were always a pleasure to talk to. Gary gave me a tour of the rig. How cool is that. For some people they were the only people they met from Buell and that is enough to indicate the type of company Buell is. |

I had the pleasure to work a demo weekend with Gary, I think that was the most fun I ever had loading motorcycles into a trailer... |

Gary and Rusty were an absolute delight . . . . I spent months on the road with both of them back when they were using a 1 ton pickup . . . . I loved seeing Gary driving the "big rigs". He, and Lois. are amazing folks and he's one of the most skilled motorcycle riders I've ever known. Very cool rig. |

Gary and Lois are Da' bomb! They did Hals demos two years ago. And when I met them at the AMAs the next June, they allowed me to relax, cool off, grab a drink, and stow my gear in their trailer while I went around Road America. Extremely nice folk!! |

Have to say we missed them this year...but Mike did a helluva job as well. My addled brain has dropped his last name, but he's been with the company long enough to remember leading demo rides on S2 Defenders (and being an ex-LEO, his were fully lit). Very cool guy. Hope I run into him at Homecoming while he has a personal (not company) vehicle. I need to buy him at least one beer. |

You're thinking of Gary Coleman. An Ex-Milwaukee motor cop IIRC. We'll be seeing him on Friday for Hals demos. Another really nice guy. |
