McDonald's is a good place to get a softer suspension

Racetech's spring rate calculator recommends .85 springs and they list .99 being the stock rate in front. Stock rear is 9.0 with the recommended being 8.5 in the rear for your weight. Give em a call though with how much you weight with full gear and they will help you get setup with the right stuff.

If you want serious suspension work Traxxion (Max), Computrack (sp?) {the people who do frame straightening measuring, I think in Atlanta}, trackside suspension (Scot Ryan)all have a solid background with Buell/showa suspensions. They will also give you free advice if you are not.

now are there springs one rate. or the onces like progressive. i do plan on calling them but figure the more info the better. ive called some companies and hung up kickin myself in the ass for not know more.

unlike my horrible dealer. everytime i go there with a warranty issue they act like its coming out of their own pocket.

its horrible if i didnt insist when they told me the blown blinker isnt covered on warrenty then i would be shit outta luck. its really frustrating. lucky for me i have u guys. any way back to the damn subject.

A lot of us have bought from Traxxion Dynamics for years. I bet that if you're less than 150 pounds, you will need lighter springs.

Best way to check is to measure sag directly and not using the suspension setting lines on the forks. IF you can't get 35mm of sag in front and 25mm in the rear, then you WILL need the next "softer" springs.

http://www.traxxion.com and talk to Dan or Max. They've been building Buell racing suspensions since way back.

Kinda. They are based off of my settings, which are slightly different from the revised factory reccomendation (195 with leathers and a backpack). I then extrapolated the weight differentials from the owners manual to fit a 150lb guy.
