Does anybody know if there is any kind of bar you can put on the back for passengers ? Here is my problem my sister and brother in laws like going for rides. I get them to hold onto my jacket cause its a little creepy them putting their arms around me. I know there is a strap on the seat,i dont trust it i dont except them to . | ||

I mean this in the nicest way possible - Get over it. The passanger should have their arms around you. That's how it's done safely. Unless, of course, you have something with a big backrest and arm rests. | ||

I have my passengers put their hands on my hips to hold on. Doesn't matter male or female, relative or not. Their safety and comfort should come before your hangups. | ||

On bikes with no rear grab handles I think the best alternative is for the passenger to rest their hand on the gas tank so they don't pull or push you. | ||

yah two of my best friends that dont ride have bugged my for a ride on the 11 and i was a little hesitant but the gas tank is a good way to keep them in a stable position. unless of course u want a spirited ride then i tell them to hold on and not to scream. lol | ||

I hate having the passenger hang on to bars that sit behind them. It tends to make the bike very unstable unless they are EXPERIENCED passengers. "Hands on the tank" is a good idea for spirited riding (assuming your passenger can reach around you, that is). Reg Pridmore had me do that up at Watkins Glen when he gave me a ride around the track for a couple of laps (and MAN! Was THAT ever an experience!!). It prevented me from crashing into him whenever he applied the brakes (which is a good thing because at those speeds I did NOT want to upset his balance or control). If that's the way you ride, that's probably good advice, but for general road riding I think their hands on your hips is still the best all-around solution. If you feel the need for speed you can always reposition their hands before you get into it... | ||

I have the Ventura system but thy do not recommend it as a grab handle or back rest, may just be legal CYA but its only hollow aluminum tubes. | ||
