Hey all, just in case you don't frequent the Storm Front section of the BadWeB, I'm hosting the Res Ride V3 in and around Altoona, PA. The main ride is next Saturday, May 23 starting around 10:00 a.m., if you can't make it by 10, but can make it a little later, have no fear, I break the ride up into 30-45 mile loops and come back to my shop/HQ for any that may not have been here for the first loop. My shop/Res Ride HQ address: 550 N. 5th Street Bellwood, PA 16617 Please make sure your GPS takes you to NORTH 5th and not EAST 5th. If 550 North 5th isn't found in your GPS, use 600 North 5th. My shop address is a newer address and not in all GPS databases. Non GPS directions: I'm 1.3 miles from Exit 41 on Interstate 99 using State Rt 865. Don't forget the ride to Clem's BBQ early Saturday afternoon, should be leaving the shop around 2-2:30ish for the ride to Clem's. Some are arriving Friday afternoon/evening. WolfRidgeRider and Pellis are staying at the Motel6 in Altoona, others have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express the last few years. Plans are still a "go" for breakfast at Tom and Joe's Diner Saturday morning around 8:00. If you have any questions, please post here or on the Res Ride thread in Storm Fronts, I'll do my best to respond quickly, or email me directly at alumicraft at gmail dot com. See you next Fri/Sat! |

Any and all brands are welcome. We ain't hater's! If you are on 2, come on down! Heck, even if you have a new Can Am Spyder, why not! Froggy, I'll get Lat/Long tomorrow. This is a fun ride, think 100-120 miles of 2 lanes of back mountain road/country bliss, all in good to great condition, no police that I've ever seen on any of my runs over the last 3 years, and a ride that includes everything from tight technical decreasing radius corners to 120+ mph strait aways (should you choose ) Throw in some excellent Clem's BBQ on a Saturday afternoon on a holiday weekend, what more could you want? Froggy, Ulynut and the others that came in for the Adventure Burger Ride got a small taste on the Rt 144 ride back to Clearfield, but they weren't even "the good roads". I believe Pellis is coming up from the south side of DC, and WolfRidgeRider is coming in from Columbus, OH, both on Friday, so we may have to "do a little test ride" just to make sure everything is good for Saturday! winkwinknudgenudge... Dano_12s usually brings his contingent of 10-12 in from Latrobe/Greensburg/Pittsburgh for the day as well. The last 2 rides have had between 20-25 riders, but there's ALWAYS room for more! Wx forecast is mid to upper 70's, 20-30% chance of rain, which means it will be nice and clear! |

Every year the word spreads a little more and more and Buelligans come from farther and farther away for some great roads and great BBQ and most of all, just the chance to meet and ride with fellow BadWeb'rs. If you can make the diner for breakfast-DO IT! Their slogan is "You can't pay for entertainment this good!" And they live up to it every time I'm there. We'll be at the Motel6 in Altoona, near the Logan Valley Mall at 8:00 to go to breakfast at Tom and Joe's. We should be back to my shop 9:30ish. First loop around 10:00. We will be coming back to the shop after the first loop for anyone who isn't here by 10:00 for the other ride loops. Toona |

Froggy, too bad you can't make it. I understand it's quite a distance for a single day of riding though. Maybe next year. Plan ahead for Res Ride V4 Memorial Day w/e 2010! |

After having some pulled pork at Fat Daddy's in Altoona, WRR and Pellis went to check in their hotel. I went back to the shop and decided to make a "pre-run" of the Kettle Street/Sinking Valley Loop. All roads are clear of road kill and fairly clean as it's been a few days since the last rain (no wash out). I came upon 4 a-hem "riders" sitting at an intersection as I blew by them, they waved for me to stop, but I kept going another 1/2 mile until I decided to go see of they just needed help as they were off the side of the road. I turned around only to see the lead guy riding a wheelie and the other 3 trying (without success ) They then pulled over and waited for me to catch up and asked me if my Buell was fast. I said yeah, it does alright and they pulled out to finish the lower end of my favorite loop. Typical of what other threads have said, they fly down the strait stretches but "park it" in the corners. I think I've done some of those corners faster on my antique Cushman scooter. I invited them to join in on the ride tomorrow, so we'll see if any show. Two of the guys said they worked at the local Suzuki dealership, so they won't be there, but the other 2 said that they may come. I hope they come, this could be FUN! |

Made it home this afternoon. Great ride. Thank you Toona for all the work you put into arranging this weekend. You guys have some great roads out there. Well worth the trip for the roads alone, not to mention the company. As always, its good to see fellow Badwebbers, meet new people, ride like an animal, and eat like a werewolf. I love central Pennsylvania. Tom & Joes rocks! The Meadows rocks too! |

Uly glad to hear you had a great time. I think all that came did. T&J is hard to beat! Meadows Frozen Custard is hard to beat for a little "cool refreshment" Y'all can mark your calendar for Memorial Day weekend 2010 for Res Ride V4! Once again, thanks to all who came in for the ride! Hope to see you back and bring more friends next year! Toona |

I wish I had seen this last week. I would have surely joined. Someone should start a Buell Riders Dinner Network so that Buellers on long trips might meetup with locals along their journey. |

Use the R.A.N. for get togethers. If you know you are going to be somewhere, drop an email off to those in the area where you are going or check out the Storm Front section for the same detail. |
