Well I decided to make the trek out to Buell of Fredrick today along with my b-in-law and his wife. Started off on a Uly(still like the bike except for the heat) and my b-in-law rode the 1125R. SO while we waited for the group to come back I was a little nervous about getting on the 1125R. Well after a little advice and me calming down mentally, I got on and had a freakin blast!!! That thing is more than I imagined and everything I hoped it would be. I think I have finally settled on the Buell I want. And the heat issue was basically a non issue. Felt a little near my boot but I am 6ft but nothing like the Uly. I really think with a little tweaks it would be perfect for me. But I am in love with this machine and understand what you all mean when you talk. And after experiencing one I am sold. Promised the wife I would pay off two small bills before making new purchase. But when that comes watch out there will be a new 1125R in driveway!!! Go Buell!! |

Working on day 9 on new 08. My wait was DEFINATLY worth it. Hard to compare to other machines....cross between 929, BLAST, & XBRR I am accustomed to. Main issue now past 600mi is how to keep right wrist under control. Time to clean off rain dirt & ride..... |

Keep in mind she runs better hot at the higher rpm range. Make sure you follow the hot oil level check as not to overfill the sump. |
