"I went three months without seeing 10 bikes total, you get out of the habit." Shoulda been riding around my area, I ruined the purdy finish on my muffler thanks to riding it on the salty, mushy, snowy, crappy roads. I'm the worst person to ask about laying it up for the winter, because I never stopped riding! Oh, BTW, well past 18K. Poor thing is only a year old! |

Yeah, my muffler looks like it was taken of an 80s era car from the junkyard. If I think about it, I'll post pics. The poor thing only has a little over 7k on her; OTOH 3800 of those were put on between the beginning of December and now on some seriously salt crusted roads. My idea of winter storage is switching to 10w-40. |

I spotted a orange Uly X our front of Renegades in Prince Frederick, MD. Was that anyone here? I have never scene a Uly in Calvert County. |

Spotted an incredibly fast black Uly X parked in front of a tattoo parlor on Market Street in downtown Frederick, MD, today (Saturday) 3/27/09 at about 3:20pm. It had temporary tags on it, so my guess is that you just bought it from Ratbuell down the road from there and just had to get a Buell tattoo to celebrate (heyyy...that's not such a bad idea). I was on my unbelievably fast black Uly X (actually, I may have allegedly bumped 105 on I-270 on the way home) after picking up one of those great Uly t-shirts at Frederick H-D/B (too bad THEY don't come in black). It's a great shirt. I took the day off to tour the Monocacy Battlefield up there - great museum just down from the dealer. (Message edited by hooper on March 27, 2009) |

A shot of the Uly at the Best Farm, where much of the battle took place, and where Robert E. Lee's "Special Order No. 191" (detailing his battle plans) was found at an abandoned Confederate camp, wrapped around some cigars. Union General McClellan, cautious as always, did not take advantage of them as much as he could.

Actually, that's Chris' black Uly. He works at the tattoo shop, and yes...he just got the bike from us 3 Uly's in 3 days, then I took my 2 days off, and today I sold an 1125R. Buells are takin' over!!! |

Spotted a fastest black, heavily customized Lightning S(?) parked in front of Atomic Billiards on Connecticut Avenue NW in Cleveland Park, DC today at about 5:15pm. REALLY nice looking. I wish I could fit on a Buell like that. |

I saw an XB heading east on 28 near Point of Rocks around 6:50pm Saturday. I couldn't tell you what color it was with all the sun in my eyes. Beautiful day to out riding! |

It was red underneath all the dirt, white helmet, black and yellow jacket. Yup, that would have been me. Good times yesterday. |

I definitely wasn't an R. Thetable says it was him but it didn't look like a Uly. I thought for sure it was an XBs 9 or 12, but then again the sun was in my eyes. I was on a black XBs12 and we passed within 4 feet of each other in opposite directions. |

Upon thinking about it and working on my reading comprehension, it may not have been me, I was in/around Point of Rocks on Friday on MD-28 although I'm sure I passed a Lightning of some description. Saturday, I was coming from Seneca Rocks east on WV-28, and I did pass a black Lightning. But I can say, that at no point this weekend was I on VA-28. We have entirely too many 28s in this area. (Or maybe I should learn to read.) (Message edited by thetable on April 22, 2009) |

and again today on 95 north just south of exit 50 I saw a black ULY with Wis. tag riding with a harley same state tag. Black ULY had blacked out windshield. I think they are making rounds on the local dealerships since I had another Buell rider see them at OGHD leaving. Hey Wisconsin you making the rounds here in Maryland? K |

Thunderstruck, that could have been me. I own a 2007 kick ash grey XB9SX and I live in Point of Rocks and since I am married and have one child, I do my riding on weekends either early in the morning till 10AM or after I do my daddy thing with the family at about 5 - 8PM. So that might have been me. Was it near the railroad tracks or the Tuscarora gun club place? I remember passing a Buell there too though not sure of what day that was... |

Cydacosta, I'll bet it was you. All the details sound right. You have plenty of great riding out your way. I was grinning the whole time. Maybe I'll see you tomorrow in Frederick. |

Tony, I just checked your profile and if that bike in your profile's picture is the same one I saw today at Frederick (I'm almost sure it was), we were right beside each other when you were about to leave. I was talking with Joe by his Uly when you approached to say you were leaving. Jose and the other Buell riders were close by too. I was the guy in the POW Desert Storm Vet vest, bald with goatie. I should have checked your profile yesterday cause then I would have known it was you...Nice bike, by the way! Real sharp looking, especially the orange trim on the wheels. I am still deciding what direction I will ultimately take into making my XB the bike I want it to be. Yes, riding here in my neck of the woods is fun! However, I hate the fact that I live in deer country cause when I lived in the city about 10 years ago, I loved to ride at night, now, I have limited my riding late at night because I almost crashed on three occasions when deer just suddenly jumped out of nowhere during the night time even when it isn't deer season. It really sucks.... |

Chris, darn, I'm sorry I missed you. I was there all day and figured I had pressed my luck enough with the rain holding out on us. On the way out I did notice an XB that I hadn't seen earlier. Translucent gray with I think a Jardine pipe on it. Fits your description. Thanks for the compliments on the bike. I wish I could take all the credit. The previous owner loaded it up with Rizoma parts and lots of other goodies. He had good taste and it saved me a lot of trouble. We should pan to ride some time out your way. I've seen a few roads out there that look interesting but I didn't have the time to do any exploring. |

Wow Rizoma parts...no wonder! Buell is a very reasonable priced bike, however all its after market parts are killers in price! LOL! Sure Tony! Next time you plan to ride this way, notify me and we could both try the some of the local routes I take her for casual riding and man, they are nice! It was nice to meet some the Buell riders today at Frederick... |
