I just bought a Avon back tire for my Cyclone. I like it but I don't have enough miles under my belt to tell the difference between tires.(3,000 on this bike) What tires do you guys prefer? What tires would you recommend for a Cyclone? Just wonderin what your preferences are.

Dan

Anything made by Pirelli, especially the Scorpion Syncs and the Diablo Rossos.

I ride an X1, but highly recommend the scorion syncs. I got 10k miles out of my rear, and the front needs replaced now at about 14k. But I only weigh 130 lbs which probably contributes to the high mileage.

Can't wait to see how long the Diablo Stradas last that I have on now : D

BTW I just called Cycle Gear.. tomorrow you can get a set of Pirelli Supersport for $189.99. That's for a 120 front / 180 rear combo. They told me $20 per wheel for mounting as long as you take the wheels off yourself.

I don't need tires yet but I will have to get a front tire in about 1000 miles. Oh by the way if you live in Maryland do not go to Cecil Customs Cycle shop in Elkton. Thats were I got my back tire put on. I picked the bike up and rode it home. It was about a 20 mile drive. When I got it home I was looking over the bike and noticed that my back brake caliber was missing a bolt and the other one was backed half way out. That could of been a bad spill if the caliber came all the way off. So I called the guy up and gave him a piece of my mind. He tried to right his wrong by giving me free brakes. I took the brakes and rolled. Last time he will ever see my bike. Spread the word do not go to Cecil Customs. Would hate to see somebody crash because of some shop not doing their job correctly.

Just got back from Cycle Gear with my newly mounted Strada front. $156 total for the tire + mounting & balance + road hazard

The package tire deal for $189 sounds like a GREAT deal but I've already got nearly brand new Strada and Metzler M3 rears available, just need to replace the M3 front and that'll be two sets of tires ready for lots of miles!

That was the first time I've used Cycle Gear, and I think I'll be going back. They had me out the door in less than 30 minutes.
