So I went for a little trip to Marysville, WA this weekend. Some pics.

~2:00 PM Friday Ready to go

Taking a break on Flowery Trail Rd.

Relaxing in the grass in Moses Lake.

Bugs in Moses Lake

The weather the whole way. I ended up slabbing after flowery trail. Was supposed to make it to Marysville alot earlier then 10pm, got a late start, so my fun was cut off.

Accomodations for the stay.

Morning wash.

A stop on hwy 530 between Arlington and Darrington.

Lunch stop, notice the plates on the Burban. This couple ended up living on one of my favorite local roads. 370+ miles from home and I run into somebody that lives 20 miles from home.

Lunch, delicious, washed down with a Peanut Butter shake.

Later that day, what to choose? Cuervo driver it was.

One of the four wheelers got stuck, among other things. ?!?!??

My Shoes the next day.

This and the next two at the top of Stevens Pass.

Olgono? At the Subway/Mini Mart. Had a sub for lunch and proceeded non stop to Spokane, WA.

Totaled right at 1055 miles for the weekend, I will hit 10k before the year mark. I took delivery of my bike June 19, 2008. I sit right now at about 9500 miles on the clock. Getting ready for my second new rear tire.

Its the right time of year for the bugs in Moses Lake. Theres times traveling through there you'll just hit a swarm and have to pull over right away otherwise you cannot see because of the splatter, that pic is nothing. LOL

The fact that there is snow in your pics tells me why I live nowhere near there. It is beautiful though.

War I live at ~2200 ft ASL. The snow pics were taken at 3k-5k ASL. Theres zero snow now where I live, but a couple months ago was a different story. Truth be told, I was riding until early December, and parked until early February. So not much downtime, its just cold riding for a few months.

Please, write more on your experiences with tire choices and those miles.

Cool pics, thanks.

Apt, I currently have Diablo Rossos front and rear vs the Diablo T (whichever Pirelli it may be). I've gotten the same amount of mileage out of the Rossos as the T's rear, but they seem to stick a lot better, and heat up sooner. When I replaced the rear last time, changing from the T to the Rosso, I had almost zero chicken strip left(all street riding), with the Rossos, I have about 3/8" strip on either side of the rear, and will be replacing it with another Rosso when the time comes.

The rear after that I think I may try out some Michelins.

You might want to look into getting Battle Axe 016's or Pilot Road 2's. My buddy has the 016's and he got 11k on them. I have the PR2's put 2.5k on them still look new. Both are dual compound tires.
