Well I am finally plagued with some of the re-calls and other minor issues. My Front Brake line wore. (Not recommended to ride until replaced) Very small clutch weep after running long periods at high rpms. Condensation in the IC (had this issue for a while but never bothered with it) So now the brake line is on back order for two weeks. Getting the new 09 Clutch cover and internals. Also getting the 09 IC. I thought this would be hard sell but it was not. In the meantime I was given a 07 Firebolt to ride. So I will survive without my crazy train (as my wife calls it) but its going to be tough. Getting back on the XB reminds me how much power the 1125R has. A+ support from Team Latus HD and Buell. Thanks Slimddave for the loaner. Overall a very pleasant experience so far. |

Luckily, my front brake line is still cherry. I am just curious where exactly the abrasion is occurring? At different points in time, I have heard that it's rubbing on the inside of fork tube, edge of the fender and the tire itself. I believe the recall says the edge of the tire is rubbing. |

Getting the new 09 Clutch cover and internals. I thought they were just replacing the o-ring right now. HOw did you swing that? |

No bike my ass... You got a loaner! I've requested that several times and never got one. I may have to ride down to Portland for major service... They saved my vacation to Death Valley in November when I had a wheel bearing give out near Salem in the pouring rain. Truly a great shop. |

Fresno- The rubbing on mine was against the front fender. The travel of the fork cause a 1" area on the inside of the brake line to rub through into the steel braiding where it was touching the fender edge. Replacing the o-ring doesnt fix the problem. According to Latus they have a whole kit of parts ($450 worth) that they replace to make it right. I am not sure of the technicle term but there is a sleeve that sometimes gets shoved to the side and runs into the O-ring causeing it to scar. This is why it starts to leak. |

I hear that. I grew up in Seattle, and don't visit Portland (and BorrowedBike) as often as I would like to. Maybe when the kids head off to college I'll transplant myself again. |

Whatever...I'm going on 4+ weeks for the IC. Today they tell me there is not p/n listed on the brake recall notice and need to call someone to get the p/n. This is after I told them about the recall way back on April 5th...This is getting pretty freaking old. Owned the bike for 10 weeks, in the shop for 6.... |

Seems like a dealer that is not too interested in customer service. The service writer at Latus will come right up to a Buell he sees parked and ask the owner if they are aware of the available updates. |

There is no part number, its a simple disconnect and reroute. Only reason for parts is if your line got cut into. |

"There is no part number, its a simple disconnect and reroute. Only reason for parts is if your line got cut into." Correct. That's why I have to wait two weeks. It was going to be a same day fix until they saw how badly my cable was worn and said I shouldn't be riding it. So in the meantime while waiting they are starting in on the IC and Clutch cover kit. |

In my case I need a new brake line and now the IC isn't talking to the computer...yet another call to Buell tech...Week 5 begins tomorrow. Oh and this shop doesn't provide a loaner. "I like this bike, I like this bike, I really do like this bike, think happy track day thoughts...." |

Even though I have another bike to ride it feels like I am without a bike. The 1125R is just that damn good... |

Dealer is never gonna give you another loaner. You're gonna return their bike with nothing but rims left. |
