No thanks on the Chi rides. Have heard about his clusterfuck missions from a number of other folks. |

I do believe "Blastin" has been hitting too many weddings lately and has Hokey Pokey brain damage. Looks like we need to get him out for a ride or at least a beer!!! |

Dyna...I can always get Clement to do a sequel on "Chicago Bobby." He got a kick out of getting cheers about the article in his Xmas cards from my buds back home. LOL |

Dana - I haven't had the chance to put the pipe on yet. Too cold out. Maybe in a week or two. Everyone else - I did 3000 miles on my Honda and 2500 on my M2 last year. I didn't get my Buell till the begining of August so I was limited. I have been able to get out ona ride my M2 at least once every month since I bought it. That was thanks to the fact we have had no snow all year! |

Koz...You spend too much time stylin' and profilin'. I bought my X1 on August 2nd and put 7,500 on it before the roads were salted. This year we are just going to have to get you out more! LOL |

Stylin'... I wish, I have no style. ha ha Don't worry I intend on puting ALOT ore miles on my bike this year. Actually I couldn't be too accurate about my milage because my speedo broke last year and I didn't bother to take it in to get fixed till the riding season was done. I am deffinately looking to do a weekly gathering somewhere on Wednesday nights this summer. Those are the best weeknight for me. Maybe we will all have to meet up at Solid gold McDonalds and then head out for some miles. That would be fun. |

Rode the S2 to the new place this weekend, fingers were numb by the time I got there. It's difficult to remove a helmet strap with numb fingers. Rode the M2 to the new place yesterday, fingers were mostly numb by the time I got there, still difficult to remove the helmet strap. Also spooky when a side gust of wind hits and you don't know if it's just the wind or if you just hit ice or a stream of salt dust. Also learned that S2 speedometers or speedo-cables don't like it when it's cold out. Speedo quit. I guess this is one time the electric speedo wins over the old cable drive. I'll worry about fixing it in Feburary, or if someone wants to buy it. |

Koz....Bad news on the logo. Rejected by BRAG  They're telling me that at least 25% of the logo must include the BRAG logo. They suggested we replace the rider in the right corner with the BRAG logo. If you need a copy of the BRAG logo, I can scan from my booklet and email to you. Gotta run. Mennis |

Rejected...after all the blood, sweat and beers Koz invested in creating all those prospective patches....Grrrr!!! How about we just call the group "Brew City" and then comply with the "B.R.A.G." in an opposite corner of the patch. Of interest, that would give us the original image we wanted to portray without calling ourselves "Brew City BRAG." |

Is the rejection due to technicalities? How is the 25% measured? Can you just reduce the border profile a bit? Would getting rid of a little border help? I don't remember what the winning patch design looked like. Maybe just scale up the BRAG portion slightly. Post a pic again if you can of the primary design. Also, how are they measuring the logo area? Are they just measuring the text, or the space between the text as well? Is this a technical disqualification, or perhaps something else? And I really hope BrewCity BBQ doesn't catch wind of this. This was mentioned to me but I thought it best not to ask too many questions at the time. |

The reason is from page E-6 of the Guidelines for North American Buell Dealers. It says (and I quote): "The registered BRAG trademark must take up at least 25% of each piece of artwork submitted." After speaking with Mary at BRAG, she recommended that we replace the leaning bike in the upper right corner with the BRAG logo (see prior post). My only concern is making this feasible for a patch. With the limited size, I'm not sure we can get the details correct. I'll leave this in the VERY capable hands of the Koz. Sorry about the bad news. I sucks having to be politically correct. Maybe we should begin following the moto "It's easier to beg forgiveness than to ask permission". Mennis |

Yeah, sure...Good thing one of the MC Clubs I belong to is the "Un-Club" in So Cal. Their motto is the only rule we have is that we don't have no stinkin' rules. |

No rules is a rule. There are rules, even though they be unspoken, they be enforced. |

MikeJ... Ahhh, the reference to human nature concerning appropriate behavior. Tis the reason the "Un-Club" gets along so well. Like minds and interests with a slight smattering of diversification are what bonds. Then again, there is the parent organization, the PHMC (Preparation H Motorcycle Club, and yes, we do have written authorization to use the name) which is slightly broader in scope but never a dull moment. With World Headquarters at the Lookout Roadhouse on the Ortega Hwy overlooking beautiful Lake Elsinore. Mike, you would be welcomed anytime as you can participate in the topics of History, Politics, Economics and all things related to motorcycles. |

Um... well... hmmm... In the intrest of all I am not going to say anything. 25% eh? hmmm... I will have to look at it. I guess you have a one of a kind mug then. Collector item. I am having kinda rough night at work tonight so I guess I will try to not think about it. Well, I will have something put together for the next meeting. Are there any other fine print legalities I should know about? Did they at least say they liked it? Oh yeah, scan me that logo and send it to koszewa@voyager.net My hotmail will get to full. You know the more I think about it, that is a really silly rule. Do I have to add in all the little writing or just the shape or... well maybe you should send me a copy of the document to. |
