A friend was singing the praise of his new Ulysses so I got the itch, went to the local dealer and picked up a 2002 S3T with 3300 miles. I am 6'7" and 240 lbs and fit great on this bike. Am looking forward to riding it around town.. after I get my license that is. <http://www.snapetiger.com/files/pics/buell/side.jp g> |

Hello Buellers, I just picked up a 97 S3T. My 1st Buell. Your web site had alot to do with me making the change from ridding a custom bike for the past few years to a buell. Unfortunately no room for both. Sold the custom to a family member. But, so far (180 miles) happy to be on a Buell. Test road it last weekend and although not as comfortable as I expected, I could'nt pass up the deal ($2800 down from $4500- 18,000 miles). Bought it and road the 120 miles home. As for the comfort issue; I thought it would just take some getting used to the big change in geometry. But I keep finding myself continully slidding forward and trying to keep my knee out of the carburetor. I'm 6'1" and was hoping another S3 rider can tell me if a Corbin seat would make a differance; or perhapes different bars. Thanks for the great web site. Bob |

Hi all, It has been a long dry spell that is about to end. I grew up in the late 60's & early 70's at the churh of Carlsbad and Saddleback on pew Penton and CZ. My first street experience was a 305 Honda. Job, mortage and life happened and my daily commuter was a shaft drive 750 Virago with Vetter fairing and tail box. LA riots sold me the idea the inmates were in charge of the assylum and I sold the Yamaha in 94 to help pay for the move from Calif. to MO. NOW the itch to own another bike (or two) has to be scratched! 15 years things change. So, I read a lot and looked a lot for the past six months. Maybe a vintage MXer to go play with other old guys thru MOVMX. Deffinetly a street bike. A short list of brands and models is where I am at this point. Buell, KTM, Suzuki & Kawasaki. AND the delima is: do I scratch my itch or buy something I can re-learn forgotten or rusty skills then use that bike to teach wife and daughter? The later would be: Buell's Blast, KTM's 690 Duke, Kawa's KLR 650, Suz' 650 Vestrom. The itch remover would be: Buell's Ulyess or Suzuki's Bandit. |

Hey – Rev. Chuck dropping in to check out the chatter here about Buell’s. I just picked up a 99 X1 loaded with carbon fiber and love it! I have had a bunch ‘o bikes in my life, but this has to be the “torque master”. I hope to learn from all of you and to maybe share some of my learning’s. Now I am off to the dentist to put my fillings back in! :^)>+ |

Heard about this site from a fellow Buell Blaster from bike night at Hooters. Got my moto license back in August last year and he let me sit on his and finally got my own this month. Gave me some ideas on modifying the bike and sounds like this site is the place to be for suggestions. |

Hello from sunny South Florida. I got a nasty little mean Buell blast 2002 with 1050 original miles on it. The guy had it parked in his garage until he decided to post in craig's list.Last saturday I took it to the HD dealer and got the 1000 miles maintenance done, also I got fresh tires.I am in love with the thing. I would like to get a different exhaust system any ideas, prices, used? I just wanted to say hi and safe riding. I cook for living.} |

Hello from Maryland. Adopted a buddie's 2000 X1 so that he could put funds toward a new car. Bike was originally yellow over nuke blue, got some old bodywork, now it is flat black over blue. Bike has an oil leak from the right side that I am trying to sort out, and needs tires. Very cool bike, joins a stable that includes an '05 ZRX and a '06 Streetglide. First time owning one of these, have ridden a few. Thanks for a cool site! |
