Hi guys: Just got a new City X. Sweet bike, and I want the old, higher skyline seat to relax seat-to-peg. The buell website confuses me though, it says: - The M0090.1AC is a skyline seat, stock on 04-'08 XB12S, and fits '09 XB9SX. - The N0025.1AJYW is stock on the '07-'08 XB9SXs, but it does not say it fits the '09 XB9SXs. Will the N0025.1AJYW fit on my City X? Is it higher than the M0090.1AC? I don't remember the '08 XB12S seats being particularly high. Which is the right seat? (Also, where do I get it? Buell.com does not seem to sell online). | ||

m0090.1ac is the 2009 skyline. It is like an inch or so shorter then the n0025.1ajyw. that one is the tallest seat buell makes, stock on 2007 and 2008. I have a brand new one if you are looking for one and would be into trading for the 2009 m0090.1ac - 1 inch shorter skyline. The buell site is really misleading, they only show the 2009 shorter version. anyway, I have a brand new one Id love to trade for a 2009 version. Also, yes, either one will fit any year city cross, same bike I have. Buell shortened the skyline city cross seat in 2009. The pic on the buell site is the m0090.1ac seat for your reference......if you google 2007 or 2008 stock pics of a city cross youll see the difference. I dont think the skyline was on any of the other xbs models except for the city cross. So, pm me if you are still looking for the taller skyline, I have a brand new one, pristine condition. I ordered it on ebay form a dealership and they sent me the 2008 taller one, not the one they had pictured on their ad. So I got stuck with a seat I already had. Beware if you get one from a dealership that doesnt deal with buells alot, or one that isnt familiar with the model difference. It took me a good few hours of investigating to figure out which seat was which, as buells own site doesnt really clarify it.....thank goodness for google....... |
