Everything that I have read/everyone that I have talked to says that the Pegasus seat is a big improvement over the stock seat. I got a Pegasus seat, and was finally was able to get a decent ride in a week ago, ~400 miles in 2 days. When riding for about 100 miles continuous, it was getting really uncomfortable. I have also picked up a corbin seat for the bike, but it puts me farther back on the bike and I am stretching for the handle bars since I am only 5'8". It also puts me up higher where I can only touch with my very tip toes. I have to say I probably like the stock seat the best. I was looking at it and this is the tag on the back When I see HON XR250R, I think of a Honda XR250 since I have rebuilt 2 of them before. Is this the stock tag, or has something been done to this seat? I'm just wondering since it seems that the stock M2 seat is one of people's reoccurring complaints. |

I've never tried the stock seat, my M2L came with the crotch hugging Low seat, and the Pegasus "custom color match" seat is much better on my old Butt. It's a good seat IMHO, & you should have no trouble finding a buyer here if you prefer the stock one. My rule of thumb is every time I fill up with gas, to get the heck off the bike & walk around for at least the time it takes to drink a soda pop ( or water, coffee, any non alcohol beverage ) so my legs don't get too stiff, & I hydrate enough. In warm weather you sweat in helmet & armor, even mesh gear just gets rid of the sweat faster. Dehydrated people have reduced mental performance, and I need all the help I can get. |

I believe its the Stock seat on the Pre '99 M2s that ppl complain about. The later model seats seem to be pretty good comfort wise. I like mine the only reason Id want a Pegasus seat would be for the styling or a Corbin would be for the better passenger portion. Psy |

Can you put a picture of the whole seat? I sold my stock, but now have a Pegasus, a Corbin Gunfighter, and a Corbin Gunfighter+Lady. I'm 6'2" and like the position of the Corbin. The Pegasus is good for in-town, but too soft for long. |

A picture of the stock seat? I found that my Pegasus is too hard for long trips, but pretty comfortable in town. Plus I like the looks of it. As for the corbins, does the Gunfighter have a different seating position that the Gunfighter and Lady? I have a Gunfighter and Lady, and it seems to be better suited for a taller person. |

Maybe you should try a stock low seat like Aesquire referred to, I don't know that any stock seats ever had gel in them as your tag seems to indicate. I rode my bike with the stock seat to West Yellowstone from Salt Lake once, felt like my butt was on fire about halfway through it (couple hundred miles), it was miserable. I've done several long rides on my custom shaped S1 seat and have been a lot more comfortable. I don't think the stock seat lets you move around enough for long distance comfort. |

So in your guys opinion what would be the best seat for long distance riding on a M2. I have still have the stock seat on my bike. When ride a hundred miles or more it gets pretty uncomfortable. |

Mines an 02, and I can't fault the stock seat, tho I have an S1 seat on it ATM which I can change back for trips, I've done several 10 hour days on it no problems. I have sat on a Corbin tho and found it very wide at the tank the stocky is better IMO |

Dave replied to your PM. So does anyone else have this kind of tag on the bottom of their seat? I'm just curious if something had been done to the seat since the factory. It is pretty comfortable. I haven't ridden any distance with the corbin, but it seems like it would be pretty comfortable for a taller person. |

No tag on my '02 model stock seat, but if anyone is wanting to part with a pegasus I will gladly buy it. My stock seat has a few issues and needs replacing. If not, where in Australia can you still get a replacement seat for an '02 M2? |
