Anyone know if any vendors offer something like this? Delete plate for the factory stalk with a turn signal light on top of it? Just thinking that would be a good idea if you were to go with bar ends. For those with bar ends, where are you putting your turn signals? |

I haven't seen any specifically like what you are looking for. Dark Horse Moto makes regular block off plates, but nothing with lights. You could always use the Dark Horse Moto block off plates & then run your turn signals via the outside lights in the headlight assembly like others have done. Just an idea. |

Is my idea a little absurd? Having a tasteful light to mount on the delete plate and still use the factory wiring? Meanwhile bar ends replace the factory mirrors? I haven't been able to search on the board for turn signal ideas, but I am curious now how the turn signal via the outside lights in the headlight assembly looks/works? Thanks for the response! |

You could probably fit something like this - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Turn-Signal-Lights- LED-Amber-Signals-for-Motorcycle_W0QQitemZ31014020 3480QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotorcycles_Parts_Accessori es?hash=item4835cbf1d8&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkp arms=72%3A1171%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318 |

I 'think' Zack (Zac4mac) ran his turn signals to his outside front lights in the cluster. Just re-routing the wiring & change to amber bulbs I believe. You might PM him to ask. Just thinking out loud, I think that route would look better in the end than putting the turnsignals where the block off plate would go. Just my opinion & YMMV. |

I was asking for this a year ago. I still want to do it and have my own plan and parts but I think somebody will eventually make some that I'll like better. I don't like using the marker lights for turn signals. I asked Al at American Sport Bike but he is so busy doing other stuff that he said he'd leave this one for someone else. Bummer. I've got plenty to do on my bikes so I can wait a while longer but if somebody was to start making some nice block-off/TS kits now I'd be jumping in line. |

This does not solve your lighting questions but there cool nonetheless. Coincidentally I was over at Grandstandesigns last week and Pete was putting to the finishing touches on some really cool CNC machined pegasus shaped block off plates. I should have grabbed some pictures. The ones I saw were getting anodized. Trick pieces for sure. Im sure Pete can fill in the details.. Seth |

I didn't even change the bulbs. They are very yellow compared to my HIDs and are visible enough. I tried to take some pix, but the HIDs are SOooo bright.. here -

I think a block off plate/turnsignal is a stellar idea. Something not too tall, LED. Gears are turning. |

I agree! I looked at some Ebay items, and most of them are gawdy. Just something you can mount there and use the factory lighting. Maybe XB lights could make some up for us? |

Bestdubs, from NYC. StarRotors has good kit too. About a year ago, was $120 for a two-bulb set. Z |

Just curious: Any of you guys who have removed your stock mirrors want to sell them --- or even just the mounting arms? |

I have a RH OEM ass'y, new in box and the remains of the two originals I have no use for. I'll send you the remains for shipping cost and/or, NIB ass'y for 20.00 + SH If you're interested, I'll post some pix of what there is. Z |

Zac: I *am* interested --- perhaps in all 3 pieces, but certainly in the originals. Do please post pics and, if you wouldn't mind, get a shipping price to 92509 (Riverside CA). Thanks! Marco |

Puzzled, That is a very good solution. Do they fit in the 1125R mirror mounts? If so, what brand/model are they and where did you get them? Mike (Message edited by kttemplar on May 10, 2009) |

That particular picture is from a 2008 GSXR 1000. They are available for all of the import models. SO.... all we need to do is see which import has the same spacing as our Buell's. If you search Ebay or the Net type in "LED mirror block off". |
