"All events at East Troy are open and free for any Buell enthusiast. No tickets are necessary for participation, and no pre-registration is required. " That's nice I'll probably just skip the RA stuff and try to head down to E.T. on that Friday. There's a small motel by hwy-LL here in Port Washington that usually fills up for the RoadAmerica bike events if anyone is still looking for a place to stay. Driftwood Motel (262) 284-4413 Holiday Inn Harborview (262) 284-3169 (downtown Port by the lake) Saukville Super 8 (262) 284-9399 ( just off of I-43 and hwy-33) Country Inn and Suites (262) 284-2100 ( north end of Port just off I-43) Baymont Inn & Suites (262) 387-1168 (in Grafton just off I-43 and hwy-60) Pulled from a phone browser local map search so hopefully the phone numbers are good. I don't know if any of these have rooms available nor what their rates are. They'd all put you about 40-60 minutes from RA depending upon your route and speed and various radar induced speed adjustments. I'll put in for that Friday off at the bicycle shop today (currently my only job at the moment). And if anybody wants to do a fly-and-ride you can buy my M2 and I'll pick you up at the airport and you can ride it back home.

I'm planning on taking leave from FT Leonard Wood, MO to begin the trip up there on the 4th if anyone is heading through ST Louis and would like to meet somewhere. Buell Convoy! This will be my first trip up there and I have no idea what to expect. I guess I could camp out, but I'd really like to have a hotel lined up in the event of inclement weather. I'm good to go but my riding partner wouldn't be happy. So if anyone has any recommendations on hotels let me know. *I'm looking into the ones posted above as well.* |

I should be making reservations at the campground tomorrow...When you guys are getting the larger sites (117, 126), what type are they? I see a few different types, but nothing corresponds to the actual map with the sites plotted out: Tent Site (no hookups) $21/night Tent Site (water, electricity) $23/night Campsite (water, electricity) $25/night Campsite (water, electricity, sewer) $28/night Also, if I go with a campsite, does anyone know if it's such that we can park a bike safely on it? Like maybe a paved spot or something? |

I had a little trouble deciphering their tent sites as well. My conversation went something like this: I am tent camping and would like to get a site close to 117. She said no problem 126 is open. I asked if it was a tent site and she said you can put a tent there no problem. I never had a tent site with electricity so this should be fun. Now I am going to have to bring something to plug in LOL. I am pretty sure you can park your bike there. I will. One Month till HOMECOMING!!!!! |

X1, I'll be hitting 55 to 39 in IL. I'd love to add you to the convoy, trying to get the couple of Buellers here together so we can ride together. Send me a PM and we can meet somewhere. Where are you staying? I have no idea which hotel would be best. |

Sent you a PM Geforce, but I booked a room at the Country Inn for the weekend. Reviews are not to great for it but I slept in a morgue in Fallujah for 3 months so I think it will suffice. |

Amen brother! My first trip to Afghanistan I spent 45 days in a hole in the ground with no shower, limited food and water, anything would be better than that misery! I'll see what I can do about getting us a room there as well. |

I just booked at the campground this afternoon, and am in spot 125. I am currently booked for the nights of the 4th and 5th, but not sure what I am doing for the weekend. What are everyone else's plans? Is everyone going to get a hotel near Road America and hit the races, or are there perhaps weekend Homecoming activities? |

Is everyone getting reservations in East troy or at Elkhart? I am confused as to what would be the best mix of Homecomming, AMA racing fun. Plus how much are tickets? |

For the AMA Day at least. I would agree F_skinner but i think most have no idea what to do yet. Don't get me wrong the races would be fun to check out but races are just that races, you can really see them anywhere in the states through out the year where as I am sure most people have not seen the HD museum. The only cool thing up at the races that I saw was the meet the riders thing but the haven't even set a time for it. |

Fung, I am tent camping. The girl that took my reservation did not seem to mind that I was tent camping in a RV Spot (although I do not think it is a specific RV spot). I have never been there so I cannot comment on the spots themselves. |

You guys should all get together and tent on the same rv spot. Last year there was diesel pushers in those spots. My truck and trailer is 60 feet long and fits in spot 117. Going the the hd museum sound good to me. Not real interested in going to the races. Went there last year, it was fun but it's a long ride up there and you can only see pieces of the track. Just like any other track. It would be nice if we could get a local to guide us on a ride sat. morning before we go to the museum. The riding out there is great. I should be at the campground early thursday afternoon and will be leaving early sun morning. The only thing going on in east troy is going to be the friday events. Hopefully hals will be doing their ride/drag race on thursday. You don't want to miss that. Also for any one who needs it I have an air compressor in my trailer and will bring my laptop and palm, tools, spare parts, and maybe a spare bike. So if you have bike problems find me. If we can't fix it you can ride the blast. Look for the black xb9s with the polished frame and custom alum. parts. Matt |

60' trailer??? I didn't realize these spots were that big...I'm only bringing a 4-person tent and my bike for my spot (125). Maybe we can set up a volleyball court with all the extra space? |

Seeing as how we are going to have quite a few people showing up for a ride to the HD Museum, maybe we should set up a rally point for the morning on Sat. I realize East Troy is not large but is there like a restaurant or gas station we can meet up at. Less than a month left. |
