watch the cops, make sure both mirrors are on,turn signals front and rear,no licence plate cover(not even a clear one). If you have your shield up make sure you have glasses on. All these listed friends have been fined for.Cops have been cracking down on Shady 421. Also if you ride a cruiser and wear a non dot helmet the ticket is $143.00. Six customers of mine riding together each got a ticket, two Saturdays ago |

I have ridden the dragon the last three years. I always go during the week. I haven't seen the police there yet. Even though I heard about the crack down before last year's trip. My recommendation is to go during the week and avoid the weekend. |

is it a state law but here in ohio you dont need turn signals and only 1 mirror.. but then again you dont need to wear a helmet either. |

Ccryder, I under stand that, but if you do not live in the state you are riding in and your bike meets you states requirements I'm not sure how they can right you ticket for riding in their state. |

Without getting into a whole long explanation about state versus federal versus state laws, you have to abide by the laws of the state where you are presently located, not your state of origin. This is the bottom line and yes there are some laws that over-ride others but....... Live with it or don't leave home. |

so, if i have a non flashing christmas tree setup on my bike allowed by Maryland law were the bike is registered, i can be fined in other states? I wouldn't recommend riding that bike in California. You would very likely get pulled over. Whether or not you get a ticket depends on the officer(s) and how you interact with them. Same thing goes in all other states. You can be cited if your bike does not meet their laws. Why tempt fate if you don't have to? |

Ccryder, ok now that makes since. I didn't know that. I was going by the difference in tinted window laws ie florida can have 05 tint legal and north carolina can only have a max of 35% tint. Florida residences that live in the Boone, banner elk, blowing rock, are not ticketed for their windows because of the florida tags. |

how do you like the bt16 I bought a set but haven't had to mount them yet.price was right I don't know yet I just bought them too , like you said the price was right. The qualifiers on the bike looked like they might make the trip but I wanted to try the bt16 anyway and for $240 a set shipped why take a chance on riding home on cords. Rick |

Cherohola Skyway... probably the best ride there. IMHO, much better then deals gap, because most corners have clear sightlines. The gap is neat to people watch, but the Cherohola is a better ride. |

2nd vote for the Cherohola. If you don't ride this thing while down by Deal's Gap you're insane. Plus everytime I've been down there Deals Gap was packed with riders and cops, while the Skyways had neither. I like the ride on the Skyways much better, although Deal's Gap is fun to catch in the mornings and evenings. |
