Does anyone know where I can look for a new primary chain?

Also, I'm assuming that the engine sprocket and clutch sprocket should be replaced. Am I correct in that assumption?

Where could I get all these parts outside of a Buell/HD dealer?

Dennis Kirk has fast delivery, good prices and pretty girls in the catalogue. I've also had good experiences with the dealers that advertise here as well - except for the pretty girls part...

Since the primary sprockets are oil bathed there should not be excessive sprocket wear unlike in typical chain final drive applications were there is no sprocket protection.

Inspect the sprockets - if they don't look worn then I don't see why they should be replaced.

Why do you feel that you need a new chain? These tend to last a long time.

Have 107,444.7 miles on my 1997S3T which still has the OEM Primary Chain ...

"BUT", my Primary Chain has been PROPERLY ADJUSTED(not by the FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL as it is "WRONG")the whole time ...

Check the KV. I believe that it is 5/8 -3/4" cold on the tight spot but don't quote me on that. Remember that the chain tightens up as it get warm. A properly adjusted chain as Buellistic pointed out, should be good for over 100K miles. I am still trying to find someone that does a belt primary that will fit under the stock cover.
