Pdxs3t, Thanks. Hope ya enjoy your new seat. Not sure how ya was able to track me down, since I never said what dealer I worked at, but Iam glad ya did. Stay tuned, we might have some more odd's & end's here shortly. I would love to go to Splash this year, but one of the bummer's working at a H.D. shop is getting time off in the summer. Sometimes if I wine long enough they give me time off, so ya never know, ya just might see me Splashing around. Thanks agin, Dave..... |

Josh, dah! I forgot about that. Even though there are two Latus H.D. shop's I guess that give's ya a 50-50 chance of getting the right one. All's well that end's well. Dave |

Paul: I haven't fired it yet. Just put the motor in a few weeks ago. Hopefully this weekend I'll get it lit, I've been so buried with two jobs now that I get little time to mess with it. All I gotta do is finish plumbing it and put the carbs on. But we've got an important customer in town with two race bikes he wants tuned, so it's not a certainty I'll get to it this weekend. The bike is really pretty and really clean and damn near 100% original in appearance anyway, you don't see many of them as nice as this one. There's a bunch of non-stock stuff inside the engine though The team owns this bike, not me, I'm just the grease monkey. Like all of the team owned parts we've liquidated, we'll be selling it on E-bay to be fair. Hey, we bought all this stuff with donated money, some of which was yours! So we gotta make sure we do things above board, both in practice and appearance. I really like the bike, I *might* just bid on it myself ... but don't let that discourage you |

Roc, somebody suggested to use an hairdryer, NOT an electric paint stripper, but hairdryer and dental floss. Hans. |

In 1998 I bought a new bright red Nissan pickup truck with a big gold/brown stripe along the length of both sides. The first three of my friends that saw the truck all volunteered that a hair dryer would help remove the stripe. Taking a clue, I got out the blow dryer, warmed up the end of the stripe and began pulling it off. No muss, no fuss. It came off clean as a whistle. Obviously, this doesn’t work if the decal in question is under a layer of clear coat paint. Duh! |

yes, it is a Buelltiful time to be out riding. I've enjoyed riding to and from work everyday the past two weeks due to our wonderful 75 degree weather here in Arizona. Life is grand when your on a Buell. |

I have a 1999 Buell M2 with a borla exhaust and a performance chip. Whenever I start the bike it only runs on one cylinder until it fully warms up. Sometimes its on the front cylinder and sometimes on the rear. Which ever cylinder isn't firing I'll take the spark plug cap off and hold it slightly above the spark plug while the engine is running. While i do this the bike begins to run on both cylinders and you can see the spark arcing from the cap to the plug. After holding the cap above the plug and giving it small amounts of gas for a few seconds I can put the plug cap back on the spark plug and It will run fine. I have replaced the plugs and wires and it has not helped. Is the ignition or the chip messed up? Please Help!!!!! Please E-mail me. Thanks |

Buellguy: Point Number 1 M2s don't have a chip. Point Number 2 Has the carb been changed from factory jetting? Check Knowledge Area for jet suggestions. Good Luck |

Well I have self diagnosed myself with NMRF (non-motorcycle riding fever), for those of you who think they may have it also there is no known cure, other than time. I have plenty of free time now and have the tell tale symptoms. #1 Hearing all sorts of engine noise that might have been there the last time I rode. #2 Looking at all kinds of upgrades that I know are well beyond budget. #3 Thinking that all maint. is totally beyond my skills. #4 jittery #5 Standing lost in garage making motor sounds (not noticing until 4 yo son looks at me funny). and finally #6 Loss of all ability to carry on a conversation without throwing in a Buell fact here and there. So how many months is it till spring? Ben |

That is exactly the comment I made to my wife this morning over cinnamon rolls...that spring has already sprung. But I probably won't be able to ride this morning as chores abound. |
