Long before my time it was hip for high end shoe retailers to use fluoroscopic machines to demonstrate how their shoe products fit better than the competition. What people didn't realize is the machine were left on all the time bombarding people with large doses of radiation. http://www.orau.org/ptp/collection/shoefittingfluo r/shoe.htm

I got Georgia on my Mindless These are on the books in the Peach State! Donkeys may not be kept in bathtubs. (How about the shower?) No one may carry an ice cream cone in their back pocket if it is Sunday. All citizens must own a rake. (Why we going to be called by the Sheriff to "Clean up the town?") Full text of the law. On Mondays, it is illegal for one to whistle very loud after 11:00 PM. It is illegal to use profanity in front of a dead body which lies in a funeral home or in a coroners office. (Like they're going to tell!) (Message edited by Birdy on May 04, 2009) |

I just find the Fluoroscopic shoe-fitting machine think funny. It is included in the Selected excerpts from the Wisconsin Statutes like it is something that could come up often. (Message edited by Doughnut on May 04, 2009) |
