OK here goes! I have a Uly and I love it, I want to get my wife a Uly as well since we have 2 kids and needs bags to carry our crap. She is verticaly challenged and needs a lower bike. She is 5-5, and weighs 120, I would like to lower a Uly but am also thinking of "Frankenstein-ing" a CG or TT bike with a Uly seat assy. to fit her. I am open to suggestions. I have seen bikes for sale that seem almost perfect but I am too late. If anyone can assist I appreciate it, otherwise I will have to buy her a used F650GS. |

You will need a lowering link for the f650GS if it is the old one. (the one lunger). |

I just sold an F650GS and that is not a good choice. Although the bike is low enough for my 5'-0" - 105# SCU to handle it is a true pig with the bags on. In addition a lowered F650 may be one of the scariest handling bikes I've ever ridden. I enjoyed it from time to time but we owned it for 8 years and she put less than 100 miles on it, not one with the bags in place. |

I'm assuming you have tried the XT and it is still too tall? |

She fit on the XB9 but she wanted the bigger engine (I know, vs. a F650?) anyway, I spoke to a few Buell Tech that were recommended Andrew @ Arrowhead and a guy in FL who both recommended an SS with a Uly seat with Penske springs. So I think that our plan of action. |
