I would have taken more pictures but I was having trouble with the camera.

Here's a link to the Crud Run site if you are interested.

I went (first time) and didn't see all those Buells. Only because I didn't walk around everywhere in Leland - too bad.

Did you run into Peter Egan from Cycle World magazine, he's a Slimey Crud member?

I've been to just a few crud runs but this one was by far the most bikes I've ever seen at one. It was like a big giant candy store! Almost every bike I ever thought I might want was there. If you've never attended, plan on attending in Oct. You won't be sorry.

I did the run. I was surprised by how many Buells were there.

We spent most of the day riding the roads in the area. It was some of the best riding I have ever done. The lead guy in the pack had an RC51 and set a pace that kept me right at the edge of my skill level the whole time. It made for some really fun riding.

My Orange and Gray Cyclone with the Blast bags was there, but I didn't ride it. I had it loaned out to a friend who's bike couldn't make the trip. I was on my GSX-R.

As usual, everyplace we went, someone was asking my friend about the Cyclone, and the GSX-R might as well have been a Toyota Camry.

It was a great time. If you live anywhere near, put it on your calendar.

Nice shots Mike, thanks for posting them.
I'd have loved to have gone but I had a workshop I had to attend...

I was introduced to Egan. Nice guy, has a Velo problem, a brake backing plate anchor broke, plate rotated and locked the wheel. I don't think he dropped the bike, though.

I sure did a poor job of looking for Buells, just saw 3 - 4.

We came down with a group of 5 Buells from the Appleton area. Really had a lot of fun. Can't wait til the fall run. This is one of those rides I love coming to year after year!

Those pics are some of the interesting motorcycles I saw at the SCR. Mine is the one behind the black cafe Honda which started out as a basket case (actually in boxes) full dresser CB900C with the whole Vetter kit. Even though the owner said the bike wasn't meant to handle, he held his own in the twisties. My bike is parked behind it.

Great pics, everyone!! The '70's-'80's parts bin bikes are my favorites, they really inspire ideas for future projects!

The weather was outstanding, hence the great turnout I'm sure!

Mike, thanks for helping the F.A.S.T. crew make the scene!
