As I drove the S2 to work in a downpour, I got to thinking.... How many people ride rain or shine? Any day I don't get to ride is a bad day. I went three years without a scooter and to be honest, I was miserable. Anywho, Keep Ridin! |

Rain (edit: is the ONLY thing that) washes my Uly. Only thing that keeps it home is accumulated snow and/or ice. Heated gear keeps me warm down into single digits and on the Uly salt doesn't bother me one bit since it's all aluminum with powdercoat. My *tubers* are fair-weather bikes now that I have the Uly...but the S2 was a 12-month'er for its first 2 years with me. |

My bikes are rain or shine, though to be honest, I've ridden more on ice and snow than rain, due to the climate here in Amarillo, and I'd like to keep it that way. The roads here are rough enough that the bike can still grip the ice, and I hate getting wet. |

Ice and snow in Texas? Sounds like you need to come down to the warmer part. First beer's on me. |

I haven't been down that way in several years, but I'd love to make a trip to the area sometime, though I'd never want to ride through Dallas traffic. That's a gorgeous Ferrari in your profile there Scott; what model is it? From what I could see behind the S2 it reminds me of a GTO. |

Good eye, sir The dallas road system is horrible, and it seems the drivers are even worse. Houston has great roads (for the most part) but extremely aggressive drivers. I avoid city interstate traffic unless necessary. (Message edited by ztferrari on May 01, 2009) |

My Aerostich suit is almost a rain suit so I guess I am almost a Badweather biker. The nice thing about rainy days is that there is less traffic on the best backroads once you get out of town. |

I remember one day when I still had my S2, I took the bike to Hal's for an oil change. I lived in Racine. About half way it began to rain and freeze. I had to stop 3 times to clear fog from my visor and the last 2 miles or so I had both feet down as out-riggers. It sucked during, but I am proud to say I did it. |

Well, as I live in Canada, I only use my bike in summer when the sun shines ! |

I felt like a bad weather biker this weekend. I covered around 400 miles and many miles in the rain. When you get wet at 9,500 feet you get cold real quick. I don't mind being wet or cold just not both at the same time. |
