Have you seen the new issue of Super Street Bike? There is a shootout between a triumph triple, a Ducatti Monster 1100, and an 1125CR. I have not seen it yet, but have heard about it. Supposedly the triumph wins... |

they had great words about the cr. it was very satisfing. im not sure why the truimph won. it really seemed like what they were saying about the buell out did the truimph. but i think previous opinions and personal prefrence came through. it wasnt biased but the very end did seem like it sorta. before i read the last part i was for sure the buell won. but all of a sudden they said the triumph one. maybe its the refined design. but they are ugly. and the ducati monster isnt that attractive either. |

I agree that the Triumph is probably a better rounded bike than the Ape or the Buell; but the Buell is just way way way more fun to ride. In the end it's all about personal preference; if someone wants a stable/predictable/easy bike to ride, they can buy the Triumph. If someone wants a nasty pit-bull on steroids give you perma-grin fun bike, they can buy the Buell. |

A similar comparo was done in Jan '09. They just used the Aprilia Tuono 1000R instead of a Duc. http://www.motorcycle.com/shoot-outs/2009-streetfi ghters-shootout-aprilia-tuono-1000-r-buell-1125cr- triumph-speed-triple-87798.htm Mike |

I traded an '07 speed triple for my 25r. Triple was an awesome bike but couldn't afford to own both. |

I don't really read Super Street Bike because it is all slammed and stretched 'Busa's with chrome spikes and skullghostflame paintjobs. No, it is not a British mag, it is 'Murican. |
