Hey guys Supafast texted me today, I was teaching, I know she went for a ride, I know you all went for a ride, me I was riding on the parking lot on a GZ 250 suzuki mini cruiser. Rat sportfest is next weekend or May 16, 17? I just made a guy an offer on a 2003 XB9R, does anyone know anybody selling a used 2003, 2004 Firebolt? I want to buy one. Supa was in the dealer today. I was having a stellar-s**tty day so didn't get a chance to say hi (sorry Cindy!) but she was in and out, riding. Must be nice. Day I had, I'd MUCH rather have been riding! Kathy - BuellFest is May 16/17. Check out http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/21/ 441396.html?1236869592 I'll vouch for Stacey's bike - it's in great condition and she's always taken care of it. Kim was interested in it / is interested in it, but I'm cautious because when she sat on a 'bolt, it didn't scream "BUY ME" to her. For what's effectively my wife's first bike...it HAS to call her name. Ras - send me a note to remind me in the morning - I'm "medicating" now that my s**tty day is over  Or, just stop by the NCI building at Detrick and say hi to Kim. She's seen both your Buell and your Jeep on post (she's in my white '92 Wrangler with gray halftop and black Buell pegasi (pegasuses?) under the Jeep logos on the fenders). Either way I'll get you prices on the coil and wires. Don - no fans in MD, PA, or VA (unless you want to go to Roanoake). I can order one, no problem. Just let me know, jgoetz@hdoffrederick.com. Worst case, come get mine off my '06. I can ride a tuber until the replacement comes in | ||

Joe, I'll text ya tomorrow. Now I have to figure out how to get the XB9 back on the road. The easiest thing to fix on that one will be the rear rim (silver), but I can't find any! Do we have any local shops that straighten rims? It has a small dent. After I return the coil and cables I borrowed from it, I get to figure out electronics Hooray!!! Wherever the short is, it's significant. The headlights don't power up and the fuel pump doesn't kick on. All fuses look good. One day everything worked fine (minus the dented rim), the next, nada. Water had something to do with it as this happened after a torrential downpour. I parked it and now that the "beast" is up and running gotta take care of "beauty". Where's the NCI building? Yo Ras...I'm almost always up for a Frederick area ride...it's the best area in MD for hills and twists. Put a post out here in the upcoming weeks to get a few people together. "Unfortunately", next weekend is my bachelor party, so I'll be off two wheels. | ||

Rat Tell me more about Stacy's bike? I'm looking for a stock 984 R 2003 or 04 for less money spent. I made one guy and offer this week and I'm waiting for an answer. I don't want to spend more than 5 grand and I don't care if it is a little banged up. K | ||

K- Stacey's bike is darned near perfect, she's very good at keeping it up nicely. It's all stock except for the muffler and I think a race ECM, but you'd have to check with her to be sure. She's only selling it because the place they're moving to requires a Uly to get up and down the driveway, so her plan is sell the 9r and get a 12x. I don't have her email here at work, it's on my computer at home, but you can PM her thru here on the link above. Let her know I told you about the bike so she doesn't think it's "getting away" from Kim I need to send her a note anyway, I'll let her know you might be in touch soon. | ||

Joe Stopped in that day but didn't see you. I try to support great dealers and sponsors but you know I'm ADHD so...........American Sport Bike will have one delivered to the house tomorrow. I need to get the bike back on the road so I can commute on it and get the brakes on the truck replaced before I go to NY on Friday. Look forward to being at your place for Demo Days d | ||

Don - sorry I missed you. We were SLAMMED last weekend, and a few staffers down due to vacations and sick time... I totally understand the timeframe concern, hence the offer for my bike's fan when I didn't see any in the tri-state area. No worries at all. K - Stacey's bike is an '06 IIRC.... Ras - go to radio shack or an auto parts store and get a can of dielectric grease if you don't already have some. Remove (CAREFULLY) the plug wires - they like to seperate internally when you're pulling them off the plugs, which could be an issue as well - and fill each of the plug boots with the grease. It's conductive, makes it easier to 'snap' the wires onto their connections, and keeps water and gunk out. | ||

Well, another one of us out there Ward just took his new black '09 XB12R home to NoVa...keep an eye out for him. He's also got an S2 basket case that he's getting the urge to start making progress on again. Might have been my S2 sitting outside at work yesterday when he came in that pushed him Hopefully he'll be up for Bike Night on Friday (along with some other badwebbers??hinthint...). 7-9, come on by | ||

I did Rolling Thunder last year for the first time ("had" to do it on the Dyna because the Uly was in the shop). The ride down was INCREDIBLE (I left from Battley Cycles)...it was such a riot to have the ENTIRE Beltway to ourselves, when I normally do battle on it twice a day as a commute! I originally planned to leave the group when we reached the Pentagon lot, but I got trapped and basically was stuck there until the ride around the Mall. Yeah, it was really hot, it was a little boring (brought a book, Zen and the Art of MC Maintenance), but it was quite a scene. I'm really glad I got to do the ride around the mall and see the people, see the bikes, and actually HEAR that "thunder"...it's no joke. I've never seen so many bikes in that lot. What was probably the most amazing is the Marine who stood at one intersection near the Lincoln Memorial who stood at full attention and salute for probably four hours or more as we passed by. That said, I'd LOVE to do the ride down, but I don't think I'll do the parking lot this year. I'm getting married the week after, and I think I want to take a final "bachelor" ride" that weekend.      | ||
