eBay 200336647033. So for no interest at all from buyers, which does not surprise me at all, given the high level of competition here from the better-known Jap superbikes. I bought a Honda to replace it, also true to my word. |

Wow, TIGER you are tough. I really am perplexed on this 1125 love it or die attitude toward people that laid out good money for the same bike you have. Do you really think your doing the Buell Brand any good by trashing fellow owners that have troubled bikes? (Message edited by brapbrapbrap on April 29, 2009) |

Fresnowanker, don't comment on my posts unless you're asked. Being a girl doesn't get you any special privileges. Remember, as Judge Judy said, "stupid is forever". Because an INTELLIGENT Board member (like Carbonbigfoot; thanks for your kind words) would've realised that I'm not trying to sell my bike to a Board member; because they would know that I live at the very bottom of the world, next stop Antartica (sorry, Tasmaniac); and USA etc. buyers can't bid on my eBay listing. Instead, I've posted my eBay listing number so that Board members can track just how little interest there will be in a Buell 1125R here. Yes, I am finally getting my 1125R back, after 5 weeks in the doldrums while it waited for parts (stator) from BMC, which never arrived. CAN YOU BELIEVE I BOUGHT A NEW BIKE SO I WOULD GET RELIABILITY AND AVOID THE RISK OF BEING OFF THE ROAD FOR EXTENDED PERIODS LIKE WITH WITH MY 80S BIKES! AND I CHOOSE A BUELL!? So Harley City Brunswick took the parts from another bike, but not straightaway so I've waited a very long time; and I would not recommend them as a servicing dealer, though their sales staff are nice enough. I have already replaced it with a Honda. That makes 5 bikes I've purchased in just the past few years, as I worked my way up the ladder from a 250, which is required in Australia no matter what level of experience a rider has. And I won't be buying another Buell, and likely never a Harley, either. (Message edited by redscuell on April 29, 2009) |

By the way, to date I've not received a response from Mr. Buell to a letter I sent him earlier this month regarding my dissatisfaction with the 09 1125R. And I'm not even surprised! But I work in retail, 'at the coal face', as we say here in Oz; and my company is required to respond to any customer complaint WITHIN 24 HOURS. Someone should educate Mr. Buell about customer service. Brands like Lexus and Mercedes were built on keeping customers satisfied with their purchase; and thereby keeping customers. Brands like Pontiac, on the other hand . . . .. Well, Buell could be next; it's not the license to print money that Harley has been over the years. |

One great way to determine what price a current item will bear is go to ebay do your search then in the left hand column say show only completed auctions. In the US it looks like the value of the 08 1125 is about $6500 to get a sell. http://motors.completed.shop.ebay.com/items/Motorc ycles__1125r_W0QQLHQ5fCompleteZ1QQ_catrefZ1QQ_dmpt ZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessoriesQQ_flnZ1QQ_sacat Z6024QQ_trksidZp4506Q2ec0Q2em283?_rdc=1 |

Even Erik probably has his limits when responding to idiocy. Read this thread yet? Erik responded personally to a squid naysayer on the Aprillia forum, yet you have received no reponse...hmmmm, does that tell ya something, Red? http://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/showthread.php? t=176482 |

DO YOU REALLY THINK ANYONE CARES ABOUT AUSTRALIAN INTEREST OR LACK THEREOF IN THE 1125R? Why don't you just admit the REAL reason you posted this garbage here. You want people to join your pity party. |

Redscuell, enjoy that new ride... and be safe. The last Buell I owned was a '06 Uly and I too got ride of that thing because of stupid re-ocurrng issues that the dealer and BMC could not seem to correct. I very much like the concept of the 1125r/cr but until Buell can get their design & reliability issues resolved and a stronger support network in place I'll just sit on the sidelines and enjoy the rides I already own. I stop by here on occasion for an update and a giggle, ya got to love the 'faithful' and their one sided thinking!! |

Let's be fair, shall we? Some 1125R owners have had nothing worth complaining about. I count myself in that group. Some 1125R owners have had valid complaints. Depending upon how the problem has been approached, some have had it resolved to their satisfaction, and some have not. I honestly feel for those with complaints, and if I can help, I try to do so. As do others here. Some folks have even gone above & beyond what most would consider 'fair' to help resolve an owner's problem(s). As for Redscuell, I’m sorry the 1125 didn’t satisfy your M/C requirements. However, I will not miss the argumentative/combative tone of your posts here. I do hope you find many miles of joy in your new Honda. As to not receiving a reply to your letter sent to Erik, if it was worded & carried the same tone as your posts here, I wouldn’t answer it either. “Someone should educate Mr. Buell about customer service.” That quote speaks volumes about your thoughts/tone/approach. Is it any wonder why you are dissatisfied? If your letter conveyed the same tone, is it any wonder you haven’t received an answer? Again, I really do hope you enjoy your new Honda. I’m sorry you are not satisfied with your 1125R, but I’ll be honest here. I won’t miss your posts. |

I love my buell. Did you think there would be no risk buying a bike with a motor that what just designed in 2007 of course there would be some issues i know yours wasnt a first year model but if you wanted guaranteed reliability you should of bought something thats been around for more than a year. But i have had no issues with my 1125 i had a choice to buy anything else with my insurance check from the first 1125 that was totaled and i didnt even think of buying anything else. This thing is amazing! |

Enjoy your Honda, I've had several and they are great. >>>Someone should educate Mr. Buell about customer service. Erik is very well versed in Customer Service but, as you well know, Buell Customer Service is handled by Harley-Davidson, is a division (with it's own Vice President) of Harley-Davidson and he'll likely not tread on their area. You knew that when you wrote the letter. To give you a flavor, I bought a brand spanking new Mercedes-Benz not long ago. With less than 500 miles the steering pump went out. I wrote the factory in Germany and never heard back. But when I contacted the correct person I received a prompt and effective reply. I do not believe you about the stator. I think you are embellishing the story. I am in to solving problems, now whining and blaming. You will enjoy your Honda and . . .just to help me here. . . see if you can name ONE person with Honda. I think your problems are real. I think they are solvable. But your whining holds no water nor merit. That's just my personal opinion as someone VERY WELL VERSED in customer service. |

I can't seem to buy a bike that will not drip gas on hot parts. I bought an 06 Honda cbr1000 and then found out about that fuel tank recall. What a fiasco that was. They had to order the fuel tank, then later they changed their mind and said mine was not affected. They put the old tank back on and didn't connect the 3 vent hoses under the tank. I took it back and had to show the mechanic where the hoses connected. Then I had to buy a new $105 battery to get out of the parking lot. I got worse service at the Honda dealer than at the Buell dealer. I still like the 1125R more than the Honda. |

I ordered my 09 1125R in August 08 and it was delivered in Nov 08, I bought it fully aware of the clutch leak and all other issues - in the faith I have that Buell will sort out any issues eventually. Why did I buy an 1125R? - because my Firebolt bought new in 2006 is the best bike overall that I have owned in 35 years, I've still kept the Firebolt as I couldn't bear to sell it. Have fun on your Honda but it is not as unique a product made by a small dedicated workforce - I hope one day to get over to the factory for a visit, I live in the UK and as a fellow mechanical engr I can appreciate what Buell are trying to do, but in saying that Buell UK have few friends as far as their customer service goes. |

Honda: Had One, Never Did Again Seriously though, my old CBR600 was an all right bike, it had it's issues but they didn't tweak me that bad. All the manufacturers make quality products but at the end of the day, a crappy $.05 part can turn a $10K machine into a pile of rubble in a second flat. |

Every manu's bikes have problems. Buell is no exception. Personally I haven't found a problem big enuf to make me want to sell the 1125. Think about it, there's no engine dropping out or blowing up. No wheels breaking at top speeds. No electrical system burning up. Personally I've seen nothing but small "quirks" that can and are being fixed. Engine runs hot and not smooth at low rpm, ECM reflash, free. Instrument cluster not functioning right, replace it, oh yeah, free. Turns signals, well, they're turn signals for gosh sakes. Little in my book but also free to fix. I won't name them all but in every case that I have seen the fixes are free. On the other hand, I do see Buell, not just Buell but the 1125r on the podium a lot in AMA racing. Pretty damn good for a bike just over a year out of the box. Am I a Buell lover, yup. I'm a bike lover. I've owned Honda, Kawa, Yama, Suzi, Triumph and oh yes, a pocket bike. I finished building an old Honda chopper this past winter. I'm presently rebuilding another old Honda back into stock condition and my next build will probably be a tuber Buell. To the person(s) who are Buell bashing please know this. You've had a bad experience with a bike. It just happened to be a Buell. If you bought another or fixed the one you have I think you could be happy with it. Buell owners are dedicated and not everyone has what it takes to own one. For a brand new bike with a brand new design with such small problems and to be winning in AMA, I think Buell did a damn good job. My hat's off to Erik and every one of the folks at Buell because out of the box in my book, they got it right. If you decide not to stick around please be safe no matter what you ride. Just keep riding. (Message edited by usmoto on April 29, 2009) |

Red, I looked at your profile and I found the problem. You should of bought a black one instead of the white one. The black ones have less problems and are faster. There's a bunch of threads on it. Just joking, good luck dude. |

I love that one sided thinking remark from Mainstreamer . I'm on my second Buell and have yet to have a problem with either . Truth be told if one person complains about his bike it over shadows all the positive . From what I've read over the years most buell owners love there bikes , why is that so hard for people to grasp ? |
