Been runnin Z4s on ShadowFax forever it seems. Great traction wet or dry, real good mileage. Damn that's cheap. |

DAve...Hey, just found out Brian re-upped...WOW!...I run MEZ4's on the beemer and just recently changed from D220's to BT020's on Pumpkin...Tried Dunlop's on the beemer and it really changed the handling...I went to the BT's because I felt I wasn't getting the mileage from the 220's as I did from the 205's...So far I really like the 020's...Don't think you can go wrong with the Metzler's, though...Here's the deal in beemer land...While the book calls for pressures of 32/36 one up, no baggage, it's common practice to run 41/42...Serv tech's at Motorad say this is to keep from bending the wheels due to pot hole strikes, etc...But it also pretty dramatically increase the mileage and I don't notice any difference in handling on the street...i.e. no slides...So, I'm trying the same thing on Pumpkin with the 020's...So far this pair has lasted 14,300 miles... Just kidding! See Ya! Bob |

DAve...There is a code on the tire that tells it's date of manufacture...Prior to 2000 it is a 3 digit code xxy where xx is the week and y is the year...The new code is xxyy where xx is the week and yy is the year...Take a look and let us know what your tires are marked... Thanks, Bob |

In the most recent issue of Fuell Leslie announced her move from Buell/BRAG to H-D Communications and her appointment as EDITOR OF THE ENTHUSIAST...Though we'll miss her it's quite a career move... Also announced but easy to miss is that there will be a BRAG event October 3 - 5 in Safford AZ...Safford is just 135 miles east and north of Tucson where my brother lives...A few years ago I rented a Sprint ST and rode the area where this event will be held and it's pretty fantastic...I've penciled this one in on my calendar...Safford is 1,350 miles from Eureka...This will probably be a great opportunity to meet the left coasters (Ferris, FMJim, etc.)...I hesitate to say this but (shudder), I'm open to trailering to this one... See Ya! Bob |

That's what happens when you start hanging around those Honda guys. Soon, he will have a back seat with armrest, and a fat chick riding on the back. Maybe even a drink holder too. Hell, he already has it wired up to 220v for heat. Pussssssssssy! |
