i have a 09 CR only 300 miles with a jardine slip on and airbox cover of and denoided,

Check engine light came on 3 times on my 70 mile ride today

#1 Fuel PR Sys ERR PO193

#2 Act Int Sys Err 0000

#3 F-R AF Sys Err P1047

checked afvs 129.0 F 110.5 Rear

I just got the tuning cable in the mail and was going to add 7% fuel across the rev range

the bike right now runs like crap im guessing cause its lean? but is that the reason for the high afv? will richening up the fuel table solve the error codes, i know it will make it run better.

Between what I've seen and the accounts of others on this board I wouldn't make too many changes at one time to these bikes.
And until broke in they seem a bit high strung.
I'd put the air box cover back on and get the bike dialed in to the pipe first along with getting a few more miles on it. Then pull the cover.
I'm not as familiar with the 09s but:
#1 Fuel pressure too high. Early 08s seemed to throw this as a rite of passage to break in. Some seemed to think they got it from hitting the starter too often. On mine I thought it was related to my early boiling fuel problem until my dealer claimed that some kind of "clip" had been left off my fuel system by Rotax.
#2 Your bike knows the noid is gone/not working.
#3 Your front and rear afvs got too far apart. I know it takes at least 20 pts (it could be more) to set this so at some point during your ride the afvs were even farther apart than what you've stated. That seems like a lot of fuel for the front jug already. I'd be wondering things like if the new pipe isn't sealed well at the front barrel or if the front throttle body isn't seated all the way or if the cap (for 49 state bikes) that covers the port for the California carbon cannister on the front TB is missing.
I got this CEL a year ago when it appears that boiling fuel pushed enough fuel vapor through my California carbon cannister into the front TB to drive my afvs to 80F 105R.

I agree on item 2 being the solenoid. Either you've removed or disconnected yours, or it isn't responding to requests for activation if still connected.

I had codes 1 and 3 pretty often during the first few hundred miles. They wen't away by the time I had completed the 620-mile service.

Steve:

IMHO you are doing too much too soon w/o really understanding what's going on. Unless you have some real experience w/ FI systems, you are headed down rough and potentially engine damaging road.

Seek professional help, or at least someone with a proven track record. Maybe Xb9 can help you.

If you do a search- you will see a lot of people asking the same question (codes thrown). I posted one myself- baffled at the number of codes by bike was showing - seemed like the check engine light was on every other time I rode it for the first 1500 miles or so. It has not done any CEL dash lights in recent memory though- I have about 4000 miles on it now. Weird?

My wish was Buell put a buffer on the sensor data to disallow transient conditions to throw a code.

Got nine on mine, all false. Took it to the track the next day after the dealer verified they were false, no problems. Work with your dealer to square it away. Mine ended up begin a POS speedo unit.

you need to the battery volts/cold cranking amps and see if thr battery is weak

The P0193 needs to be repaired first. If the fuel pressure is not correct then it will also affect the AFV. My P0193 was traced to a faulty fuel pressure sensor.

Chevycummins, did your bike show an error for P0193 frequently, or was it once in a great while? I ask because I've had that code on two occasions in the 2000 miles I've ridden the bike.

Mine only happened once during break in and drove the dealer nuts looking for the problem. Definitely worth getting it looked at though.

The dealer looked at it many times for this code and could never find any problems. They would clear the code and it would come right back in a couple of days. Finally they replaced the fuel pressure sensor and the code has not returned. Also the frequent fuel pump cycling after the bike was shut off went away with the new sensor.
