Lars thanks for the kind words. I'd like to thank you and Chris for coming out. It was great to get out and ride all day. We'll do it again next month. Hooper, you changed your plans at the last minute for your sweetie and we went for a ride. That's all you need to know about marriage. |

Arrggghh! Sounds like a great ride....can you give us an idea of the route? What's worse is that the people leading the pre-marriage class didn't show up, so we sat there for a half-hour, everyone grumbling about how nice it looked outside. Me? I was thinking about that too, but then I started trying to comprehend all the money and spending and bling and time that was being expended in that room...there were about 15-20 couples. Good times. I was able to get out for a bit in the evening, which was pretty good. See you next time! (Message edited by hooper on April 19, 2009) |

shift - great to meet you the other day. Sorry I was so scattered - it had been (and continued to be) a madhouse all day long. Please come back, I promise I'll be more cordial Also, for those who are into multi-brand ownership - I traded an '04 GSAdventure today, 26k miles, panniers and top box with full engine guards and aftermarket windscreen setup. Hasn't been inspected yet, but it will be this week. C'mon by if you're interested in a GS. It's actually pretty cool. |

The only interest I have in a GSA is the 8 gallon fuel tank. Please tell me s/he left on a Uly. I love hearing those stories. |

How's the final drive on that GS? On fire? SOOOOO tempting, but I think I'm sometimes more enamored of the GS Adventure's looks and "myth" than I am its practicality and actual "heart and soul" and "fun-ness". The Uly has that over every bike I've ever ridden, including three different BMW models (haven't ridden a GS yet). But I REALLY would love a bigger fuel tank. I put 4.37 gallons in my Uly today...it stalled about 50 yards from the gas station, but restarted to get me to the pump. I guess I shouldn't have spent the last bit of riding before filling up roaring up through an empty parking garage (good cornering practice). |

I only had a chance to do 2 laps around the building on it, but it's VERY dirt-bike as far as suspension goes. Sit on it and it positively SINKS. Throttle makes the rear end squat like a wheelie...but the front wheel is still on the ground. Braking makes the front end dig in. I don't know if the guy had it set that way on purpose, but it's a little soft for my tastes. He's got some nice stuff on it though - Helibars, riser/pullback clamps, brackets for GPS, aftermarket seat, BMW panniers and top case, "roll cage" crash bars...I would like to take it out in the woods sometime I tried like hell to get the guy on a Uly, but he was convinced that the ElectraCouch Classic would be a better 2-up bike for him and his wife. He still has a 650X for dirty fun, so I guess I can't fault the guy. Super nice fella, too. |

....everyone just remember to keep May 16/17 open for the factory demo fleet / BuellFest weekend. 16th: demos, challenge course, food, music, fun 17th: demos, Buell/metric bike show (still trying to narrow the classes - thinking: tube frame Buell XB Buell Loki Buell Buell custom Metric sportbike Metric cruiser Metric custom or should we do something else?) oh, and food, music, fun again On Sunday, since we start late(r), I'd be up for leading a ride from our Williamsport location to the Frederick location, just to have a little ride-time. I don't wanna just *work* all weekend! Also - any LEOs out there, we have a fully upfitted UlyXP Demo. Bring whatever departmental information you're required to have to use a vehicle on duty, and it's yours for a day or 2. Someone come use it, so I can stop trying to take it home at the end of the day LOL. |

We'll forget that I know you for a second... If you were base security, or an MP...sure. Detrick is actually one of the places we're going to try and get it to. |

I'm still working on the machine shop / race team guys for that. If they're not racing, I'm gonna try to have a dyno shootout...but we can't take up the service department's dyno |

Ramon, I can try to make it out your way this weekend and give listen. If there is a way, you can save the map off my bike and try it out on yours. We both have the same set up with the race kit, and mine has always run reliably. I think the previous owner took it to some one who knew what the they were doing. Other than the stator going up it's been a great bike. Knock on wood. |

Thunderstruck, Sure come on by! My toolbox is limited but I should have everything we need. I'm going to start swapping parts off the 9 to see if I have faulty sensor, sparkplug cables or something. It's not firing right. I re-checked the timing, remapped using a stock map, TPS reset, checked/adjusted the primary chain. It idles ok, but once you get on and try to ride it, poo. |

Ramon, Let's see how my weekend shapes up. I have to confirm a couple of "must do" things for the weekend. Let me knock out some of the task list so I'm a little less stressed. I have family coming in town soon, and for about 10 days it's going to be events back to back. If I have time this weekend I'll give you a call. I could even head out during the week day. Have you replaced the plug wires? Check for shorts and voltage drops? I have a shop manual and an ever growing stash of specialty tools. We need to get you back out there. |

Well, I swapped the spark cables and the dohickey they connect to off the 9 and I think that did it. Runs significantly better with only a slight lag in the low rpms. I'll reset the TPS tomorrow, log and adjust, but I think that was it. I noticed there was build up on the rear plug connection, perhaps the cable was loosely connected or I need a new dohickey. |

Joe Looks like I need a fan. As one of the more proactive Buell Dealerships - what do you think the odds are that you've got one in stock? (Sunday morning - you don't open for a couple of hours yet) |
