You can get some aftermarket pegs and mounts that give you a 1 inch drop from the stock position. Give those longs legs some extra space. |

check it out here: http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/9184.html You will also have to get a set of pegs too. The rounds ones have a better knurling than the scalloped pegs. |

For a one-inch drop, you can order OEM Lightning pegs that are similar to the stockers but without the rubber. OEM Ulysses pegs also fit and come in black or natural aluminum. I have tried both of the Uly types and the Black ones are quite sticky, my feet like them a lot. I don't have p/n now. I'm just a short guy tho... 5' 10" Z (Message edited by zac4mac on April 25, 2009) |

I'm 5'9" and I have no problem ;+} and I have the Uly pegs and Convertibars. My point (other than being a wise-ass ) is you have options. Have you tried one on for size? I think CHad Hargis is around your size, search for him, and he is a Uly rider. Time2Ride Neil S. |

Thanks all, I will be heading up to my dealer for a part recall on my uly soon so will check them out in the showroom. They are 95 miles away so I don't get up there much. |

I bet it won't be quite as roomy as your current ride, but then again there are some other benefits to the 1125's...... <giggle> Rob |

I think it will depend on how fit you are as well. It could really make the difference on how well you are able to handle having your knees bent up. I am only 6' 1" and have ridden my 1125R for 8 hours straight with only fuel and lunch stop with no issues. While I have seen other shorter then me have to stretch their legs from knee pains so your question may be hard to answer and more one that you will have to test yourself. Find a dealer that will let you take a long test ride. I was able to get a full hour test ride which really helped me determine if I was going to be able to live with the leg room. Also several good options mentioned above about the 1" drop pegs and Uly pegs. |

You are lucky...last weekend I went to a Buell demo ride...and wanted to try out a '25...I couldn't even pick the bike up off the side stand...my toes wouldn't even touch the ground...so I was gonna balance it and hop on...ride leader dude said NO WAY!!!...I'm 5'3" and 140 pounds in leather...so YOU ARE LUCKY!!! |

6'4" 235 no problems, I like the stance and being able to touch with knees comfortly bent. of course I adjusted my suspension for my weight in the book, both shifter and brake pedal all the way fwd. goes good! |

I'm 6'5" and the Uly is wonderful, but I have horrible knees. Even as good as the Uly is, my knees ache after a few hundred miles, but with a few stops to stretch and walk around, frequent standing on the pegs, and dangling my feet down off the pegs I can manage a bunch of miles on the Uly. Could I do the same on an 1125? Maybe? I don't know. I've never ridden one for more than about 15 minutes. I do track days on my Gixxer 600, and even with the Vortex rearsets lowered and back 20mm, it's still not as comfortable as an 1125. I'm still hoping and praying for an 1125 Ulysses. |

im only 6'1" but i rode my 1125 to west virginia and back in a day it was over 500 miles and there was no issue with my back, my butt was a little sore towards the end but was fine the next day, i did the same with my knees i just stretched forward every once in a while and i was fine. i would have no problem going on another 500 mile a day ride. if you bought the pegs that dropped it a inch i think you would be ok. |

I'm 6'4" 220lbs, I've done a couple 600 mile days on my 1125r and it wasn't too bad, the only thing that was sore were my knees...I'm thinking those drop pegs should help. |
