I mastered the art of snow-slush riding last Sunday. One thing I learned is that if you feel pain in your fingers from hypothermia just speed up more and the pain quickly disappears. The speed also assists in balancing the bike as the gyro effect is stronger. One problem is the introduction of moisture into the air/fuel mix once you do slow down. With size 12 boots I found my legs worked adequately as outriggers. |

No snow up here, just rain. We have gotten around 2 inches so far. It's either concrete, asphalt or mud now, wish I had a Uly. Time to get ready for work. Z |

No snow here, sunny and 73 and will be riding a buell today. Oh, I am in Pittsburgh, Pa. visiting family. Perfect timing. JC |

"wish I had a Uly" A growing concensus of folks fit that statement, and thank Dog, I am available to assist at High Country H-D/Buell in granting that wish. ~jammer |

"is there any dealer out there that rents a Uly?" ..............o~'o Sorry, the Harley rental program is built on an owned fleet of bikes that are rented out, not merely using anything a particular dealership has on the floor. Although High Cntry H-D/Buell has as many as 30 Harley's to rent, they do not offer Buell as an option to our fleet. Unfortunately 'demo rides' on our Buells are only in the range of 10's of miles, not all day. Perhaps there is an Eagle Rider, Blue Sky Rentals or other motorcycle rental business that has a Uly in its fleet. My sense is that is not the case though. Rental business is about utilization. If a bike sits more than it it rented, the business is loosing money, and we know how long that condition can exist. Well, unless you are a multi-national insurance company I guess. Our rental fleet consists of touring bikes. People come in to Colorado and want to ride in the mountains and ride for days on end, usually two-up. We have primarily Electra Gides & Ultras, Road Glides, Street Glides, Road Kings and some Heritiage Classics. The 2009's are starting to be commissioned and many of these will have 20,000 miles on them by October when we sell them as used. I'd be glad to hook you up with the rental program if no Buell can be found. Labor Day weekend will book fast though, so don't wait too long. There are also discounts at 3-day and 7-day rental periods. ~jammer 303.833.6777 - ask for Larry in Rentals. |

No snow up north. Not the case down here. Beautiful springtime in the Rockies. This is looking down our driveway, can barely see the house
Dan outside cleaning off the front of garage area.
We've had about 2' of snow here. Like I said before, just need either outriggers or Dan said something about putting winter TRACK kit on the bikes, a Buell-mobile And John, you dog, get back here and suffer with the rest of us. But it is suppose to be close to 80 by the end of the week. |

Julie...... Wow! We got snow on Friday and although I could have made it to work with no problem, I decided to stay home and finish the Uly. We have no snow now and I think we got maybe 1 inch total. That is the nature of the banana belt I guess. Taken this morning

Are we in the same state Frank? That's incredible. It's still snowing here and Dan is out with the loader cleaning off our driveway. You could actually go out for a ride down there. I'm bummed. |

If it makes you feel any better Julie, I took the S1W out for a short run. It is way to windy for the Uly and I just started getting the S2T ready for summer. We are too poor down here to afford snow! |

After Dan gets done cleaning the snow, he's planning on working on Skye's SV650. It still needs to have the brake cleaned (got real greasy cause one of the forks was leaking, but it's fixed now), putting on new brake pads and adjusting his new handle bars. Also need to mount his new tires and get them on. What's the temp down there in the banana belt. You can actually see the sun????? |

Rained all day yesterday, if it'd been snow, we'd have 2-3 feet also. Got today(Sun) off and Monday, so I hope to do some tinkering and riding. Roads are drying and everything will turn green and not burn. Z |

WHAT A DRAG!!! I was so excited for you. Yes, another will come about. As a matter of fact, when looking thru craigslist the other day there were several that Dan said looked pretty good. (Message edited by jumpinjewels on April 20, 2009) |

Got in a good ride after work today. Went up 50 towards Salida about 40 miles, poked around on a few side roads, then made my way back. I cruised Skyline Drive before finishing up. The bugs are getting thick, I had to stop twice to clean my visor. Lots of green goo so I think they have lots of protein. |

You XB guys have it easy. A tuber, any tuber, is just as reliable as any XB however they require preventative maintenance. New tires, bearings, isolators (always fun) a little wiring fixing, primary chain adjustment, brake pads etc. I appreciate my XB more each day!!! Everyone read the First 25 Years of Buell. There will be a test later. Who is going to Homecoming????? |

We're planning on going to the local HD/Buell dealer to get the swag today. If we're riding tomorrow it will be in the hills. |

Well it looks like I can not make it. Lynn and I will both go next weekend. I got the S2T back together and now it will not start so I need to trouble shoot that tomorrow. I was hoping to ride it tomorrow but does not look like it will happen. 4 Buells, one running.... |
