On my way back from the Black Forrest, still over a 130 miles to go my belt broke. I already had 250 miles of rain and now I was stranded and waiting on the local AA to help me. 3 hours waiting in the rain later they picked me and my Uly up. |

@ F_skinner: that has to be a Palmer bracket made by Strada here on Badweb. |

Froggy, that bike looks awesome!!! What happened to the RHS handguard? I think you will like my latest addition - unique new tail-tidy: F_skinner, the windshield kit is my design and there's more details here: www.palmer-products.co.uk |

Yep its Strada's setup, its very nice! The right handguard is gone for now, I put an aftermarket brake setup on there and the lever is too big. I am trying to get a shorter lever so I can put the guard back on. |

you need my bar ends - they space out the hand-guards more to give more room! Can I use a shot or two on the website? |

I will look into your bar ends and will take some measurements, this lever is a lot longer than the stocker. Feel free with the pictures |

If it is a Nissin master cylinder you should be able to use your stock brake lever. |

I host my photos on my own website, I can make them as large as I want. It is nice, I don't have to compress the photos as much, so they come out sharper looking. You can throw your photos on Photobucket and use the [IMG] codes to post them on here, only thing is if it gets too popular and you use up your bandwidth limit, Photobucket will take it down and make you pay to keep it visible. |

F_skinner - I ended up installing the optional braces as well even though I am not using an over sized windscreen. Low RPM created chatter in the unit that I didn't care for. Wasn't a problem, but the braces completely eliminate this. |

Galloper, did you get a new belt yet? Sucky way to end a trip, but at least it was at the end and not the beginning. |

Hey Froggy, Cut that lever already. Or see if the aftermarket makes shorty ones for your new MC. |

@ Etennuly: The belt is on the shelf at my dealer, they got it in today. We still don't know where my bike is at the moment. (probably still at the depot in the ardennes) I've been told it would be delivered at the dealer this week. About the trip: breaking the belt didn't ruin my vacation, I'm still smiling. I'm not the knee-down kinda guy but I did have some fun in the schwarzwald twisties I have 2 clips: one going up and the other going down a Schwarzwald hill. If you wanna see I can post the links. |

Going up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrXUPALp5a8 Going down: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rc9t-jOY_j0 It's nothing spectacular, I was there for the first time, roads had some damage and like I said before I'm not the knee scrapping kinda guy. But I did have fun. The camera is a Sony W50 Cybershot with a 2Gig card in it. Its mounted on the bike with some standard Rammount stuff. (Message edited by Galloper on April 24, 2009) |
