Someone with some design skills and a shop, come up with a "cable" actuated clutch. I could help with design, but have no good shop capabilities. You'll get - Better feel. No fluid leakage. Adjustablity. I did my old FZR1000 with an Attack conversion and my TLR using TLS parts, with a few other modifications. Mike |

Hmm, and now you will maybe have a stiffer clutch pull, adjust it, worry about lubing cables and, broken cables. I know that 1) Hyd clutch actuation feels different from cable operated system. 2) Some systems may leak. 3) Overall they are a lot less problematic (IMHO) than a cable system. Just ask any of the Tuber or early 04-07' XB riders if they would like easier clutch pull? If you have the time and money, go for it! Later Neil S. |

Like many others, I've had clutch slave cylinder problems in the past, on different bikes. No problems have come to pass with a cable system. Gotta remember, it's not a dirt bike! Lube the cable during assembly, clean and lube the lever pivot once a year... As for ease of pull....that's a design thing. Unless the pressure plate/springs are from a car...just adjust the lever pivot points to get a nice feel. Ain't rocket science. Mike |
