OK, after working on this design all week, this is what I've come up with. If there's enough interest, I'll have them up and ready for order this evening.
As for now... I'm headed up to the mountains to go riding. I'll check back after I get back. Oh yeah, they're $20, small, medium, large, X-large, and XX-large. Don't worry about the red in the picture above, after getting the image down to BadWeB size, it started degrading, this will not be a problem on the shirts. |

What about the Brits, and the Italians, are we only gunning for the big 4? Think of them as the Finland and Thailand (Axis) of the enemy forces. They will fall in line once the Plunderers from the Pacific are dealt with..... HARSHLY! |

Glitch, me 'n D are in for two three, please: 1 small, 1 large, and one for the Elves. And if you'll hand-deliver 'em here to the 'Dome (which, alas, would require you having to ride up the Parkway for several hundred miles - truly sorry about that...), we'll feed you BBQ'd ribeye and all the St. Pauli Girl you can drink. Yes, Ann is invited, too. FB&D PS: Leave it to Spidey to notice the missing Shocker... (Message edited by jerry_haughton on April 24, 2009) |

As a Japanese-American, I find it kinda racist. Why pick on the Japanese? Why single out an ethnic group/country at all? Why not just say Erik takes on the world? I don't think I'll be ordering one. |

VanVid Sorry you were offended, the Japanese have dominated Roadracing as you are well aware I was inspired by the idea that 200 from East Troy under the leadership of Erik Buell would take on the vast resources of the big four and compete, As the spartans (the 300) held the pass at thermopali (sp) against the persians, numbering in the tens of thousands. It is still studied today, and the sparan courage and determination are still exmplified in military teaching. I am sorry that you are offended. It is not intended to be Racist. |

As a Japanese-American WoW, Who's calling who a racist? I thought we were all Americans, since when did we start splitting up our groups via race? (Japanese, African, Chinese) if you tag line it with American than you're an American and nothing more..... Freakin Sheep...... |

But the meaning is pretty obvious. Before you go further with this, you need to ask the question- would Erik wear this? Erik Buell is a principled guy and I suspect he wouldn't be caught dead in a t-shirt with such potentially racist connotations. Why not change the wording to "against the world"... |

I'm down for 2 either way. But I agree, against the world sounds a little better! |

FMJ, The XL is for me. I like shirts that fit loose since I'm not pumped up like you! The XXL is for Mikey Breedlove who just offed his anniversary Super Glide for a brand new Uly. BTW you need to show up in Franklin, NC sometime and meet him. You'd like him. We'll be there Memorial Day weekend... okay what's your excuse? I like my wife better without any clothes, thank you. WOW, we've have become a PC society, eh? I see the text and I immediately think of bikes made over the pond and nothing to do with race. Sigh... |

How about you read it again and explain what is so "obvious" about the meaning. Vanvideo gave his honest take on the design which was what glitch asked for in the first place. It would be nice if at least one discussion here did not degenerate into a flamefest in under 30 posts. I do not see it as racist, but I get the history/joke. Others may not. There is no wrong or right here, only discussion and Glitch's final decision. (Hey Glitch, wait until you see the comments after you add some shockers in there!) |

Just because I'm part Japanese doesn't make me a racist. I'm a Japanese-American, meaning my cultural and biological heritage is Japanese. Heck, I've owned a Buell and now ride a Harley. And just because I'm proud of that heritage does not make me a racist, anymore than self-proclaimed African-Americans are racists. No reason to get insulting, Slowride. Opinions were solicited, I believe, and I gave mine. The "horde" in question refers to the other bike makes, I get that. I do like the concept of the art and its tie-in to the movie "300." But the competing bikes also came from Europe, if my basic knowledge of geography is correct. Last time I checked, Aprilia is a bike made in Italy, BMW in Germany, Triumph in the UK. Which oriental horde comes from Britain? So, the actual graphic on the shirt doesn't make total sense. Why limit the "horde" to one island nation, when Buell truly took on the world's best? I'm not offended guys, I just think the design could be tweaked to make it more reflective of reality. My opinion, and mine alone. If it makes you feel better, I was cheering for Buell at the Atlanta race. I hope a Buell rider takes the championship. Anyway, enjoy your shirts - the artwork is awesome. |
