Am new here hello to all, anyone with an 08 1125R experiencing an oil leak from the hole in the right side engine cover which drips on to the pipe below? i was told it is a crank case sensor o-ring problem, any experiences appreciated | ||

It's the hydraulic clutch, vacuum assisted. The drip is brake(clutch) fluid. Lots of 11s have this sickness, like a runny nose. Supposedly a fix, not a band-aid, is imminent. Oh yeah - welcome to BadWeB. Zack | ||

thank you Zack much appreciated, guess i'll have to carry a rag for a while,have ridden one day and so far i luv it, handles so intuitively (did i spell that right?)just turned 50 and still like to ride fast and the fact that its faster than anything within my field of vision comes in handy. john c | ||

I new there was a reason why GOD brought me to this bike its all kinda eerie with the leak and having to carry a rag and all why its like being back in the seventies this bike is the fountain of youth,i have found it!! by golly i have found it!! | ||

So Zack, I thought I was going to avoid the weeping clutch, but alas I spotting it today. I thought there was a replacement O-ring to fix it...is this just a temporary fix? | ||

Seems so, Harlan. I have replaced the cover and the o-rings and the weeping continues. Hoping that this fix I keep hearing about is good and soon. Z | ||

I currently have the "Drip/Weep", again (maybe I just need better protection  ), after about 5 or 6 fixes ranging from changing the O-rings to changing the clutch cover and replacing all of the hydraulic innards and O-rings. I hope this "fix" comes out soon as well. Mike | ||

If this fluid is weeping then one would expect that fluid eventually to need a top up at the clutch res....correct? John C | ||

I have never had to top it off. I get it fixed before it becomes a problem and they top it off during the parts replacement/warranty work at the dealer. Mike | ||

Mine only weeps after a long hard ride and very little at that. Normal day to day commuting it does not weep at all. I'm just going to keep riding and not worry about it. Once a final fix is out I will take it in. | ||

You guys who've changed out the o-rings did you use the updated green one that goes onto the head of the spherical nut?? because i've never had any problem with weeping. I currently have a revA cover(scuffed from laying it down) and i'm replacing it with the revB but i'm worried it's gonna start weeping like everyone elses seems to be. |
