Sometimes you just have to find the right door to look behind to find the sugar bowl. Different names sometimes, but still sweet once it's found. |

I didn't mention the business' name or anything that could be considered "advertising". All I was trying to do was generate some interest in getting something made at a reasonable price if there was some concensus amongst the S-3 owners that this was a good idea. As it is, I've decided to try and make something myself thanks to some comments made on another board (Can I say sacborg here without getting spanked, or is that advertising too?). Later, Scott |

Okay, you're both right... ASB does NOT have a fender elimination kit for the S3 (they do for S1, X1 & M2). But the "rules" of the board say that the admin has the final ruling. And no, you won't get spanked for using the S-word here. Most of us frequent both boards. Good luck with the fender elimination. I'll have to post pics of my touring rack "quick release system" when I'm finished. Lake_Bueller (otherwise known as Dennis the Mennis on the "other" board ) |

Oh yeah, and American Sport Bike does not make a license plate kit for the S3. As far as I can tell, nobody does. Later, Scott |

and they have many buttons to push! with the popularity of this kind of bike (I'd LOVE one, thanks), I have trouble understanding why there aren't more rallye-like cars available |

Croft, You don't need to build that billet front mount. There is already one on the market. It's available from Max T Engines. Check it out at: www.maxtengines.com I bought one for $206. It's being polished right now. It's no big deal to change. Put your bike on the peg lift. I forget the name of it. Then put a floor jack under the front of the engine. Lift it slightly and unbolt everything. swon |

Peter, I'm a BIG fan of the Dakar rally, but I wish they would ban the GPS stuff. It takes away one of the most challenging aspects of many legs of the race, finding the finish line. I miss that aspect of it. What the heck is that chart thingy? Scott, I'm am obliged to protect the investment of the people/businesses that PAY to keep his board up and running. Therefore free advertising of a commercial nature must be prohibited. Rules must be black and white in that regard. I know your intentions were in no way subvertive, but please understand the BadWeB position. Thanks for understanding, Blake |

I just don't see how you could take what I posted to be some sort of "freeloader advertisement", or any advertisement for that matter. Nobody who pays to advertise here makes a license plate kit for the S3, therefore nobody advertising here would lose a dime on something which was going to be pretty much a one-off thing. Eh, whatever. S.C. |

Scott, You are missing the point. The point is that some PAY to advertise. If others are allowed to advertise free of charge the value of sponsorhsip is diluted. Thanks for understanding, again. Dan, I don't even HAVE a garage! |

Steve, if you count all the tires in my garage and divide by 2, you'd probably come up with an answer in the "20" range! The white S2 tailpiece is part of an r-t project. Watch this space...

ever wonder how they got advertizers in the first place... gee mister i have this website that has x number of hits per month and they are ALL by buell enthusiests. how much will you give me to pimp your outstanding products? its perfectly fine when the paying advertisers post about their new products in general discussion [tat, dave, etc.], also they feel no remorse in using the group as a sounding board for their ideas... hmmm free market research. i may be wrong but i've never seen a discount posted here by the advertisers for using this group as a marketing tool. [say you're a bad webber and receive an aditional 5% off] just my 2 cents, nothing against you Blake, you've done an astounding job over the years and deserve the gains associated with advertising revenue. just don't change it to be driven by your commitment to a few choice individuals. [thats called protectionism] maybe if Scott develops his ideas he'll buy some space too! personnally i don't come here to read about tats proposed must have products or dave stuaves sale items, if i wanted to know about them i would have clicked the banner ad. maybe its best to have the same standards for all. man those xbs's are tiny |
