Hey everyone, this is my first post since '05 when I sold my '03. I just bought a new Blast and want to thank EZ and all for the great mod information I have found on this forum! I just rejetted to 48/175, shimmed the needle, installed a Vance&Hines exhaust, going to get a Jardine soon, and installed a tall velocity stack from American Sport Bike. I ordered a Outerwears pre filter but can't figure out what actual filter fits in the stack? I got the idea from Imadreadhead's post showing it on his bike. I tried cutting down a foam lawnmower filter but it starved the engine. Hope someone can help. No fun riding here just outside of Philly so the bike will be used for pleasure riding in fair weather on sundays out to the country roads and back so I hope to use the stack/filter/prefilter combination without worrying too much about wrecking the engine due to inadequate filtration. Thanks, Jim. |

Welcome back! Just clamp an Outerwears filter on it. Part # 100-2651 O/W CUSTOM. Thats what EZ sent me and my guess is outwears can figure out what it is from the part number. Adding anything (foam) to a pre-filter that small will strangle it. Or find a 'real' filter that fits. Depending on your size there is probably a bunch that will fit the stack (K&N, UNI, NAPA, etc.). Pretty sure anything but stock a air filter or K & N drop in will void your warranty. |

Welcome back! - Best way to save money is to order 3 filters - filters 10 bucks plus a one time per order of 20 bucks because its custom, that way your only paying 3.33 extra for the custom filter - it breaths better and still filters down to .025. EZ |
