hey guys i had a couple quick questions. i just sold one of our 08 left over 1125R's and it seems to be having an issue that was apparent before the latest flash. Now i personally saw the flash done on the bike so i know it has it. The issue is when you go to roll the throttle at low RPMs the bike will just cut off. now i remeber this happening alot to myself and others but the last flash seemed to have taken care of that and i have never had it happen again, with more than 1000 miles after the flash. Now my customers 1125r seems to still have this problem. tried the plug cleaning procedure just because i know how easy it is for the plugs to get fouled. does anyone have any tips? i was thinking of hooking him back up to digital tech and reflashing the last flash to start. could it be anything else? thanks for your time. Is the Battery fully charged? I know after 1000 miles it should be but my battery caused several problems and cutting off was one. Easy to check. Scott |

Should the computer be smart enough to know its levels and adjust accordingly? It's a computer right? |

You would think but a battery not fully charged screws it up. It powers the "computer" Scott |

Yep, empirically speaking, keeping the battery tendered seems to help ignition and preventing stalls with throttle blips... not one stall for a downshift in the last five months (got the third reflash about a month ago). I think the theory is that sometimes the voltage regulator may need to "dip into" the battery reserve if the alternator isn't providing sufficient current... |

I would vote for both, charging the battery and verify the last reflash. If you do not notice the RPM's rising when you let the clutch out slowly, then there is an issue with the last flash. As received, mine would exhibit an occasional stall just when you didn't need it, like pulling away from a stop or stopping at a stop sign and balancing while stopped. It would then stall as I opened the throttle and eased the clutch out. Since the last flash I have not had one stall (although I got pretty good at hitting the start button b4 I had to jab a toe down). Yeah it is something that needs to be fixed now. later Neil S. |

You might also want to check the throttle cable and solenoid cable for play. Several people have found play in both. Either one can cause the cut out at low RPM. Just my thoughts. Mike |

Check the flash again. Mine flashed and Digital Tech II said it took, but it did not. You can verify it took, by checking to see if the AFV's were reset. |

I never had any problems with mine after the last reflash and putting a tender on it. Solenoid was removed at this point as well. At what rpms is this happening? |
