I've had my bike for about 4 years. I've done all the work on the bike. I'm having a problem I can't seem to figure out. In powerband in any gear the bike seems to decel before it accels. The RPMs will jump up 1 grand before dropping back down to climbing. The bike feels like it is reving high as it is doing this, the power seems to be disapearing too. Any ideas?

Not making sense.

Please be more specific.

It sounds like you might be describing a slipping clutch. I don't know if the XB9s have a cable or hydraulic clutch but if it's a cable you may have miss adjusted it to the point where the clutch can't fully engage. Bruce

It does sound like a slipping clutch. Might also need the ball ramp adjustment done. That's the adjustment on the clutch pack behind the primary inspection cover.
