Is there anyone else out there that has moisture that gets into the LCD panel and causes fog up on the inside along with stains from the moisture. The shop tells me its not under warranty! |

Contact Buell customer service. Many here have had them replaced under warranty for this. |

If the condensation is due to you pressure washing the instrument cluster, I could see not covering it under warranty. If the problem is due to normal use, then it 'should' be covered under warranty, IMO. You might want to have a POLITE discussion with the dealer before engaging BCS, and/or find a different dealer. Just my opinion & YMMV. |

They would not change mine, said that as long as I could see what speed I was doing ... Now that it has warmed up here in the UK though the fogging has cleared. |

They would not change mine, they said as long as I coud read the speedo ... But as it has warmed up here in the UK the fogging has cleared, until next winter ... |

I agree that it's crazy to pressure wash a bike, but there are enough tails of drilled ECMs and Mustangs having their oil flushed with a garden hose that you just never know. Good luck with your dealer and the POLITE discussion, explaining the problem, that it is caused by normal use, and that you'd like them to contact BCS on your behalf to confirm if it can be replaced with a new cluster under warranty. If that doesn't work, THEN contact BCS while finding a new dealer, remaining POLITE the entire time. I'm sure you'll get it resolved satisfactorily in the end. |

I use a pressure washer... but it's a tiny one and I hit the wheels and undercarriage with it. I stay away from all the other electronics and what not. Wheel bearings are another touchy area... |

I asked the dealer about getting mine replaced for the same reason. I washed the bike with a garden hose, and the next ride the IC was all fogged up on the right hand side. The dealer said it wasn't under warranty, and that he'd dealt with it being denied many times before on H-D's. I've made my opinion clear about this dealer elsewhere, and I will never be going back. Since the bike threw out 2 more check engine light codes today for low fuel sys error and fuel pressure error, it looks like I'll get another chance to have it replaced soon enough. |

Ron_luning - low fuel sys error with fuel pressure error has been discussed before - see earlier posts from various members - this is a problem that I and others have had with cold fuel, still not resolved as far as I am concerned but now spring is approaching the cold fuel issue is over. I too have a fogging IC and have never used a pressure washer or garden hose to wash the bike - we shall see what the outcome is |

brought my bike in for the fuel relocation recall and noticed every time i looked at my service counter, it showed a different number, i only have 700 miles on the bike and it was showing service in the 6000 mile range, so now i'm in the process of getting second cluster. no moisture inside the cluster though. also had the battery draining problem when the steering head was in the locked position and the security was on. |
