Can someone please help me fill in the blanks? ECM Remapping key...found on American Sport Bikes... http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/9309.html Here is what I ask... 1. Is it a pre-made fuel map? 2. Does it work will all chopped stock exhausts? (is one perfered with this key) 3. Does it drastically affect mileage? 4. Will the motor run in closed loop after install? 5. (I just ride on the street) Will it still be a good everyday rider? |

Its just the key you need to unlock the ECM with Directlink. Nothing more, nothing less. It does not do any of the things you listed on its own. |

Think of it like this, the key is a drill bit, you still need the drill. From there you can put the holes in your gas tank or relocate your turn signals. |

Froggy, I want to make my bike louder, run a bit smoother (choughs sometimes), and want the fan to run less. I just want to make sure that when I choose a pipe the map works to achieve my goal. Any suggestions? |

Froggy, don't forget drilling into your ECM. |

For just a plug and play solution you would need to find a race ecm for your bike. A better solution is a custom tuned map using either direct link or better yet, ecmspy which is the tool or "drill bit" of choice. For ecmspy you can download the program for free, but will need to buy or build the cable to link your computer to the Ecm. From there you can get a custom map made or tune the bike yourself (which will require lots or reading and understanding of the program so you don't make an adjustment that will damage your bike) More information about the program, cable, and tuning solutions can found in these two links. http://www.ecmspy.com/ http://xoptiinside.com/home |

I've got ecmspy. If you want to stop by Saint Paul one of these days, you're welcome to. |
