http://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/showthread.php? t=176482 An Aprilia rider wrote to Erik about the controversy over the AMA rules, so Erik responds. I love the part where he mentions a "Superbike version of the 1125" is in the works. |

"No one in the US has tried harder, and we'll continue to do so." I'll drink to that. |

No one in the US has tried harder, and we'll continue to do so. and thank God for those 200 people. I'm tired of hearing how great the other countrys can do things. It just proves what one man can do if he puts his mind to it. } |

Few folks have a passion for what they do like Erik does. |

Read all the responses and was ready for some Buell bashing but it seems the majority either respected Erik for writing back or understood the response enough to give Buell their props. |

Great classy letter from Buell. Hopefully this will stop the whining on this site too: During the season if any brand should appear to have an advantage, rules changes will be adopted to slow down that brand, It has worked in Grand-Am, and hopefully, will work in the AMA. After Road Atlanta, the weight was shifted to add 15lbs to the Buell and remove 5lbs from everyone else. We are fine with that, as we understand the AMA is learning what makes the competition most close. |

I love the response saying, "Eslick looks like he's out for a Sunday drive." However the poster fails to realize that is a sign of true talent, not unfair advantage. |

Total Class. I hope some Buell owners have taken time to put pen to paper and write. There are LOTS of letters pouring in. Buell stirred up the hornets nest. I'm unwilling to let unhappy 600 owners shape the opinions of Harley=Davidson's new President who is seeing these letters. I hope folks will join me in writing. Total class on Erik's behalf. Court |

The man's a class act. When I met him at the Toronto Motorcycle show in 2008 he proved to be polite, gracious and accommodating. Listening to him speak about the brand was fascinating and riveting. The man is a true enthusiast and is doing something he loves. The passion is evident. It makes me proud to ride a Buell motorcycle. |

When we settle on a design I think we should have a Badweb drive to buy 201 shirts for Erik and the elves. That'd be a kick in the butt and really say something to Erik, the elves, the mothership and the world. I'm good for some! |
