picking up my 09 r monday. I am 43 yrs old, 19 years as a licensed mc rider. Have had progressive insurance on my 00 cyclone since day one, and an 82 honda nighthawk. Costs right around $210 per year, with full coverage on the Buell only. since I have been with them almost 10 years, I call to put the 1125r on and remove the old honda. Pay 21 bucks a month, 10 months a year. New price , with new bike--$109 bucks a month! $1100 and change for the 1125 alone! Dealer had gotten me estimates thru Harley Financing. I just assumed (stupidly) that since it has Harley in the name, it would cost more. Long story short, harley found me a complete package with low deductables and full medical for $ 439 a year! Lesson learned: 1.staying with a company for a long period may be costing one far more than one may need to spend , and 2. harley has some kinda deal with Dairyland Insurance , and incredible savings. The number I used to get the quote and buy the policy is 1-888-691-4337 . Hope this is helpful to someone. I am just shocked at the difference in price. LoL guess thats why one company says "15 minutes could save you a lot" but i also just thought of this- this savings may only work for someone like me, whom has purchased thru Harley Financing...dunno..

Formost Insurance, (part of Farmers) is good also.

I just finally added the XB12R to my coverage.

Three bikes, (got conformation this morning) full coverage on one, liability on the other two.....$649 a year.

This reminds me that I need to re-think my insurance. State Farm in Chicago is $850/yr. for my Uly. Sure, I live in a lousy neighborhood in Chicago, but it's way too high. I'm going to try the Dairyland connection. Thanks.

Geico should have special deals on the 1125R since they have their name plastered all over Eslick's bike

I have insurance with progressive and foremost, true to its name progressive has been getting progressively higher. Make sure your agent is taking the time to get all the discounts from the company that your dealing with. If you don't tend to wreck bikes, you can drop collision, and keep comp and liability, allot less but a risk if you wreck it.

I'll be updating soon. Hopefully my rates dropped considering I turned 25 and am getting married.

Dairyland has an agreement with Buell to insure their bikes. For some reason all the other companies hate the buells. Progressive quoted me over 3k a year.

Allstate was half the cost of Progressive for me on my Harley. I had Progressive for years and then decided to call around and check again. Glad I did. I will say, though, that Allstate tried to cut corners on a claim I had with them. Progressive paid right up, no problems.
