Are there really any does and don ts with this v twin in my buell if had jap 4 cylinders and you can rev the shit out of them all day with no problem. Just stay away from the redline i suppose? and how about on really hot days??? lose any performance?? as you all know im new to these bikes and just want to make sure im taking care of my toy. im thinking of switching to a sythetic oil mabye to i seen a bunch of different kinds everyone listed, my neighbor is a amsoil dealer so i was gonna talk to him. |

Prebs75: Keep your engine REV's below 6500 RPM's and your bottom end will last longer ... Use "SYNTHETIC" oil changing every 3K miles with filter ... Oil level in engine and transmission kept at the proper level ... Keep you DRIVE BELT and PRIMARY CHAIN properly adjusted ... Clean and check the spark plugs gap every 5K miles ... MAY THE LONG LASTING BUELL BE WITH YOU !!! |

Yeah, stay out of the rev-limiter. You can still bend push rods flirting with 6500 and counting on the limiter to save your bacon. |
