Hello everyone, am a newbie got my 08 1125r today and noticed oil on the pipe about where my right heel is and below on the pipe, has anyone had this problem? | ||

There's a oil drain plug there and cover for the oil filter screen. I'd check to see if these are properly tightened down. | ||

Check the dipstick too. Mine backed out/wasn't inserted correctly and I didn't catch it until there was enough oil to make the rear tire nice & slippery. | ||

Best thing to do for an oil leak is clean every drop of oil up. Then see if it leaks while just sitting there at rest. If not, run it to see If it leaks then. As Spectrum mentioned there are basic maintenance plugs over on that side that could have not been properly torqued or a new crush washer not used. Have your recently had a service? Those to above mentioned places would be good spots to check. If there is not leak there, then clean it and search other areas. Also check your oil level before running it if you have a leak. | ||

thank you guys but i think zac hit it on the head,it appears to be clutch (break) fluid leaking out the hole on the right side engine cover a fix is in the making, i hope. jc | ||

When my clutch was leaking it never dripped on the muffler. Is the leak coming from the hole under the puck on the clutch cover. It's pretty obvious when the clutch is leaking from the oil stain on the clutch cover. Here's what a leaking clutch looks like.  | ||

That's a typical issue with the 09. You will need the 09 slave to fix it. | ||

Well it may be 2 seperate issues then cause i definately have the clutch fluid issue and since the oil makes it to the pipe at the vertical level about where the end of the brake pedal is but on the pipe,will have to keep an eye on it,the question is have you had to top up the clutch res?thanks, John C | ||

i have an appointment with the dealer and am already a customer as i have an 07 Road Glide, since i am new to buell there is a bit of a learning curve but i am determined to get this machine sorted,being that it only has 2200km on it and the previous owner had some issues i got it for below market with 10 months of warranty left which i will exersise to the fullest,i got my fingers crossed cause this bike had me cursing in my helmet from pleasure on the first ride. | ||
