Sorry we didn't post anything, the ride was kind of a spur of the moment kind of thing. With 3 good rides in 3 consecutive weekends, I was fat, dumb, and happy to hang out around the house and do Honey-do's. Then Charlieboy called me and said he was in town and looking to ride. I'm off this coming Sunday, but working the next 3 weekends. But I am available for weekday rides if anyone feels sick and needs a cure for the workday blues. Tyler, Welcome to the madness! Your gonna love that bike, and your going to find a wealth of information here on the Badweb. |

Can you start rotating the meetings to different locations around town so it's not such a long ride to get there? Perhaps one month have it on the east side, the next on the west side, and then on the north part of town, etc... |

we can discuss. one thing to be said about consistency. Always being the same date, same place, same time. You never have to think about where it is this month. what if we had four spots. the first monday of the month, the second monday of the month, the third monday of the month, the fourth monday of the month? all in their zones of the city? you can attend the one closest to you, or attend them all. Just one thought. I have no problem in moving them around. I think if we do, we need to be consistent and post the locations ahead of time, so we always know where the meeting is for this month.... thoughts from everyone else. It is for all of us. I am flexible. REX |

What don' we all send in our locations, and we can discuss in May where and when we want to meet. WE can set up the months where we will be meeting and can post on the AZ AsBN site for all to see. Plus I can send a note out to all AZASBN yahoo group members the week and day prior to our meeting reminding everyone where our meeting is this month....thoughts? REX |

http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/21/ 442287.html?1239321793 Look what I got!!!!!!!! I pick it up on the 25th!!! I'll be at the May 4th meeting. I check out that day from my Phoenix command for 30 days leave! Yessssssssss. I'm def as far south as it gets in Maricopa. My vote for the South side is Hooters or Tilted Kilt! I think four meetings on four corners in four weeks is a great idea... |

Let's discuss the meeting places May 4th at Chases. We can map out the restaurants in all four corners of the city, and set up the dates. REX WE can even discuss moving from chases to the tilted kilt if you want. there is one on gilbert road right off of the 60. |

howdy Az'ers. quick question...im getting ready to prep the M2 for the move to phoenix (from florida) and was wondering...is an oil cooler and swap to a synthetic (royal prp, amsoil, motul) a definate must have for the desert environment? if so...is one brand more effective than the others? thanks. im really looking forward to the change in scenery and not being about the only bueller in town. See yall soon! |

An oil cooler is a good idea, anywhere it gets over 100 degrees. Running synthetic is also a good idea. I use Mobil 1, and have oil coolers on ALL of my bikes. Here is a pic of the oil cooler on my S2.
Jagg also makes an oil cooler for the tubers. Good Luck with your move, and welcome to the desert! |

I have the ACP billet oil cooler that looks like an extender for the filter. I've been running the HD synthetic oil since it came out. I just put a ceramic coated header on to try cutting more heat. Feels better so far. |

I figured the more oil the better, and also cooling. I have the Jagg oil cooler, the ceramic coated header and the filter extender. I still get a little pinging during the hot weather in arizona when I take off from a light.....rex |

Well, we have LOTS of palm trees here too! I only have the stock cooler on my XB12 but I only run synthetic, Royal Purple 20-50. It gets Hot here, so hot its just HOT! I've often thought about running a small fan on my cooler but I mainly run on the hiway. Around town when its 115 out, I get some ping... |

Rex, don't forget, from May until October the gas stations change their blend to a higher MTBE rating. Never noticed a Ping issue on hot days (over 100F) until after May, and would stop about October when the high temps hung around. But then again, that was an XB. |
