The R and CR have different gear ratios, including the 2008 R. Check this out: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/421365.html |

If, by chance, you're also wondering about swapping the CR gearing to the R, the rear sprocket and belt of the CR aren't directly transferable to the R, without also changing the complete rear swingarm and idler pulley assemblies. If you're interested, do a search of the site for complete part number info. The CR gearing effectively eliminates 6th gear vs. the R; that is, the speed @ rpm of the CR in top gear (6th) is exactly equal to that of the R in 5th. |

OKay thanks ...I Knew the 08R was different from the 09CR, But had the thought the 09R and the 08R were the same only the Cr was different... But I guess the 09 CR and 09 R are different as well , that being the 09R is the same as the 08R.. now I`m confused LoL... |

You've got it exactly right, hogs, and aren't confused at all. |
